My "real" Jeep ( I mean not a Wrangler) was a Willys 57 CJ5 that I totally rebuilt my sophomore year in high school. 72. Corvette 283, Muncie 4 speed manual, Hooker headers, C Bombs with cutouts, Jackman rims, Armstrong TruTrac flotation tires, Warn winch. No waving needed. The girls were riding with me.....ha! Edit.....forgot...Edelbrock intake and Holley quad carb too... gas was 27 cents

I had an '85 CJ. The younger generation jeep was expected to wave first. The older generation returns the wave, or not. All round fenders should not only waive but show additional respect to the flat fender.

    My CJ was good.

Definitely can’t go wrong with a CJ5 or CJ7, those are real

This is the first I've ever heard of the Jeep wave. East coast thing? Just curious. I'm older, older generation.

Had a wrangler before moving to a Tundra. I live in the sticks so everyone gives you a wave or nod until you hit a road with a street light.
If I see a pro/pro grill/modded Tundra they get a wave. Most of the time I get a wave or nod back.

Def in Florida this is a thing my brother has a wrangler and almost every jeep 99% old or new gives a wave. At least when I'm driving with him lol

    It's good
It's a regional thing. In SoCal, you wave at someone who doesn't know you, regardless of truck/SUV:
"Who the F is that guy?"
"Is that guy F-ing with me?"
    "Look at that dic."
"Shit, am I supposed to know that guy?"

I think this thread should be deleted and any member suggesting that we should wave at each other be perma-banned.
