I'm researching how to add power windows and door locks to my 2006 Regular Cab and wanted to see if anyone else had a little help for me. I think I need a 2005-2006 Access Cab to donate the inner door panels, power locks, switches, power mirrors and power window regulators. One thing that concerns me is the power equipped trucks and manual window trucks used a different part number outside door shell. Part 670010C030 fits access cabs for all years and SR5 regular cabs through 2003. Part 670010C080 fits regular cab DLX models. My worry is there is are mounting provisions or something missing in my DLX doors and I won't be able to put the power stuff in there.

My Regular cab SR5 has powa windows so I am not sure why you are thinking that you will need access cab window parts?

Ah, I'm trying to source the parts from junkyards and they didn't make a SR5 regular cab in 2006. I would love to come across a regular cab DLX parts donor, but I don't expect to see many of them. As best as I can see, the regular cab and access cab shared the same door size, so the inside panel "ought" to fit and there are a hundred of those for every regular cab out there. I'm just a little worried that the manual window door shell is different from the power window door shell.

10+ years ago I did the same to a 2000 V6 Tundra regular cab. From what I remember, I just bought everything from a junk yard for a access cab
My next door neighbor still drive that tundra I sold to him.

Truth be known, the I really don't hate the crank window that much. The thing I can't stand is having to reach across the truck to lock or unlock the passenger door
That was exactly what I needed! Thanks!

my 05 was wired for the power windows. all i needed to do was get the master switch, regulators, passenger switch, power locks Also worked. all the wires were there. hell the heated mirrors were there. mines a v8 work spec.

IF you want factory keyless thats addable too assuming your a v8 work spec. but its pretty involved to reach that box up in the dash

all of my parts came from access cabs. the factory keyless/alarm was from a 2004 access cab

I will pull a door panel and see if the wires are there. That would be great too if they’re in place already!

Oh I left that out. You need the door wires. Easy swap. But it’ll plug into the dash harness fine

I pulled the door panel and confirmed I don't have the harness I need. Mine is 82151-0C101, and I believe I need 82152-0C100 (power windows) or 82152-0C110 (power windows and heated mirrors).

Yea that harness you’ll need to grab from the donor truck. Your cabin harness should be pre wired. If you check the color of the front connector area on the inside fuse block and it’s green you should be pre wired for power windows and all. Behind the button blanks to the left there should be 2 un used connectors. One for the heated mirrors and one for the security sensor

Thank you sir, I do very much appreciate the help. I'm going to call the junkyard tomorrow and get the project rolling.

I do have that connector with the green rim at the front of the fuze box. That's good news! I'm not sure whether or not my donor vehicle has the heated mirrors. Those aren't a huge deal for the most part in Alabama anyway. I'm thinking that I have a solid list of the needed parts at this point.

The update on this project is that I'm waiting for a parts donor to materialize at a salvage yard near me. Its just a matter of patience and keeping an eye on what's out there.

You could be waiting awhile. Go to the link and search for doors. I had to call about 6 places. To find one that was willing to sell me all the door parts. Like they said. Most of the calls they get are just for the door shell. Shipping cost was not bad. This is going back 10 years. But think I paid about 300.00 for everything including door panels.

After 5 weeks, I located a 2006 Tundra Access Cab with the tan interior about 120 miles from me. I drove over yesterday and stripped everything that I needed, with the exception of the mirrors. The donor truck had the heated mirror harness, so I can install heated mirrors if I want to. The drivers harness is a little bit hacked up and the power mirror switch was missing, so I have a little bit of work left to do before panels are ready to go into the truck. Anyway, it's progress.

I saw this and nearly shrieked with excitement that it might be for the rear window. Hah. Wishful thinking indeed.

Yeah, I have a regular cab. That rear window is just a sheet of glass locked in place for life!

This little thing is going to give me a problem. Somebody cut off the one on the drivers harness. The housing is available from Toyota but I bet it will not be pinned. I will get it ordered tomorrow and see what I get.

@Tundra2 I don't suppose it was your driver's door that had the harness still intact? Might be able to make a few bucks and help a brother out.

I will definitely reach out. First thing is to get the connector. I will take the passenger side harness to work also and see if the electronics guys can match up the pins.

Most of the terminals on these old trucks are 090 style so pretty easy to source and add. I don’t recognize that specific connector though. And you need something to serve as a reference for the pinouts. Or the doc w colors.

upload_2022-3-16_6-28-5.jpg The pins in it are little flat rectangles like diving boards about half an inch long each? I do have the wire diagram and I have traced and labeled all of the cut wires.

On this note, any leads on an easy-to-use sub-$250 crimping solution for 090/Sumitomo supporting both M/F ends? Honestly, I'd love one of the Rennsteig setups but $200 on a used tool and almost the same on a used die is just too damn much for the few little adapter connectors I was thinking of tinkering with in my overhead console.

Hopefully good news from the Toyota dealer. The connector number is 90980-11452 and the man on the phone said I could get the pins and wires for it. The connector itself showed to be back ordered, but he said he would have an ETA in a day or two. The pins and wires I can get tomorrow.

I own several expensive crimpers including a $100 Aptiv and $100 molex. My favorite for 16-18 gauge unsealed terminals is my quibaok. Go figure, right? Terminals I get from corsa-tecnic as my preferred vendor by a long shot.

Wire Terminal Crimping Tool Kit, Qibaok Ratcheting Wire Crimper AWG 22-16(0.5-1.5mm²) with 500PCS Female Male Spade Connectors & Bullet Connectors Terminals

    https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=809

there is also an orange Iwiss open barrel crimper for 22 gauge and smaller. I can hunt it down later tonight.

    ETA:

Qibaok unsealed crimper for 16-22 gauge

IWiss unsealed crimper for 18-28 gauge

IWISS sealed crimper for 14-24 gauge

I definitely like the price point on that one .... (B00IWD9XKU on scAmazon)

I also really like Japanese tools. I have a number of Hozan hand tools.
