    Mmmmmmm dinner
What size Adventurer did you go with?

Side note, don't drive that F3x through South Central LA. I know an eszett basically is a double-S, but the resemblance to a "B" makes it look like "SLOB" which is a derogatory slang term to insult members of the Bloods.

Well only took me about 2 weeks to get around to catching up to this thread, I finally got around to replacing my krispy kreme looking headlights and install a fun little light bar. Used the truck for truck things 2 tons of stone and 40 bags of rubbber mulch later and the kiddos are having a grand old time now. Soon I'll get to doing something about the sunburnt hood paint....soon

Was trying to get ahead of @shifty` today and get the valve covers swapped. Snapped a bolt on each side, same one. Vise grips are at my buds house so came to a stopping point for now. Glad I bought new bolts.

Both of my seals looked and felt pretty good, so this all might be for not. I noticed the Driver side cover was pretty charred up looking, not sure if that is just from an improperly working pcv at some point or what. Injector wire shield were brittle on the passenger side and pita to get cleaned up.

PO had recently put an entire new set of chinesium coils on, looks like only one of the spark plug tube seals were maybe giving out. This one on the scorched drivers side so could be the PCV issue as well. I will also go back and check the torque specs on those driver side plugs, as LC2001 on mud has noted them loosening on that side.

In my case I ripped out my washer when I relocated my reservoirs. I might just go semi ghetto and build a new reservoir out of a water bottle or something. Or maybe I can find a generic reservoir and mod it. That aftermarket one listed is more than I wanna pay for something I've lived without for almost 10 years.

Something like this is more what I may do. By the way "Ford Wiper" would be a great name for a Chevy car.

This is a pretty good sale Serra is having. Thanks for the heads up! Air filter for $15 and gas cap for $16. Trying to see what else I "need" to hit that $75 free shipping mark.

They're giving me a really good price for a steering rack that fits my VIN with no core charge. Hmm...

Sorry to hear about the bolts, but I'm proud of you for beating me to the punch :D
That said, may as well hit it with some PB Blaster or Kroil while there's easy access to the threads.
Can't say for sure on that, but brake cleaner will probably get the char cake out of there.

Haha, that's the plan. Baby is taking a nap, and the wife is out running errands so she is supposed to pick me up some vise grips. We will see how that goes. Bad news is we are leaving for a few days on vacation up around @Sirfive , so you will probably have me beat on this job. Hope your bathroom ends up being a painless fix, I'm sure the contractor will get it figured.

Finished the lower ball joints and the jba uppers. Only snag I had was the damn zerk fitting...front end is so much better. I still need to order beefier endlinks and sway bar bushings and a timing kit. Oh and an alignment later this week oh and! I need to research leaf packs

    Thanks!

The steering rack sale price is killing me because on Saturday I replaced my inner tie rod ends boots and clamps. Parts costs was $150, so a little bit less than half the cost of a new rack.

Yep, the cheaper $360 priced part looks to be just the main housing.

The part you are looking at is for the entire rack, early model FGT's. I ordered this one for mine, and it comes complete

It says there is a cheaper one for $3xx but when I click on that one it says discontinued. Are they racks different depending on year?
