Standard LED headlights, any good?

Looking for feedback about the LED headlights included on the lower Tundra trims.

My wife has a 2020 Corolla with the standard LED headlights and they don't seem very bright at all. I have seen newer Tacomas and 2.5 Tundras with OEM led headlights drive next to our Corolla at night and those definitely seem brighter than the Corolla, so I suspect the newer Tundra should be ok, but want to check first.

This is a post in the 3rd gen forum, the OP is asking about the headlights on the '22 Tundra.

My TRD off-road is also showing it's coming with LED headlights.

 

Two types of led headlights. Led lights should be standard on all '22 trims even the TSS i believe.. Difference is whether the headlamp housing is a Reflector or Projector housing. As far as the reflector housings that come on the SR5...they are super bright at night. Really happy with their performance and light output. Lights are also very white. Seems like the higher trims would be fitted with the projector style housings.. will probably be brighter and better concentrated to provide a very crisp line.. but I don't think you'd be disappointed with the reflector led performance.

 

LED headlights on my 1794 are great. The best headlights I ever had. Much better than headlights on my 2016 LX 570.

TSS is not a trim. It's an appearance package offered by the southeast/gulf states Toyota distributor and is only available in that region.

 

My TSS Offroad has them LED lights. Work pretty well

 

Thanks all, sounds like the reflector LED headlights are great.

Our Corolla just has single projector LED headlights, and I think they're weak because current tech can only fit so much output in one lens. I see the Tundra uses multiple LED per headlight for both styles.

Now that summer is approaching, we get 16 hours of daylight up here and most dealerships are closed before sunset, making it difficult to test the headlights before purchase.
