I really wanted the E locker but it's only available on the Pro4-X otherwise I'm good to go. The are nicer packages available such as the tech and convenience but something I would like but simply don't need. A fully loaded Pro4-X hits close to $47K! They have one on the lot now. Quite nice but not worth the extra $10K. There are some great colors to chose from. All Frontiers come with Nissan Zero Gravity seats, the peppy 3.8L and 9 speed. Manual transmission is no longer offered which was a bummer but the 9 speed auto is great . Stock stereo is quite decent. A premium Fender stereo is offered. There are lots of kuul accessories available now including NISMO goodies. Loving the mpgs btw. All the mid size trucks will have decent sales this year it seems and the foreseeable future. Gas prices are "fueling" this change of events. A coworker wants to git rid of his 2021 AT4 Sierra already and only has 15k miles.

Awesome info there. Thank you, Matt.

I think that my trade value could possibly put me into one without taking a financial hit, but I'd really like the locker and the LED headlights. If I go this route I might be doomed to the upper trim. I did find one with this window sticker (loaded) that is listed at $44,416. A touch below MSRP, but I'm sure there will be shenanigans to increase that. Dealerships are generally scum, afterall.

I plan on upgrading to OEM LEDs as soon as they are available. There are several aftermarket lockers out there for the Dana44 type differential that all Frontiers come standard with. "M226". My dealer had no markups. Tynan's is still family owned and one of the first Datsun dealers in Colorado. Adam Tynan, the owners son, did the final paperwork for me to sign. Best dealer I've ever dealt with.

    :rofl:I forgot too.
I don't think there is a better looking front end on any truck right now than the new Frontier. Squared off and looking tough, I like it.

Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be anything to crazy to upgrade the headlights, but I am not enough of a mechanic to add a locker.

I looked them up, and they're priced decent, but both that they show are the smaller cabs. I'm not sure I'm willing to downsize that much.

The place I was working before, hourly employees would get paid for 13 hours in the fall when DST ends (and they worked 13 hours) and get paid for 12 hours in the spring when it starts (and they worked 11).

Nissan and Subaru are the only ones on that list I'd consider.

Honestly if I was someone who didn't have passengers often I would be driving a new frontier right now. I really enjoyed my last generation one I had but my passengers were suffering on road trips. Unfortunately when I look at reviews the back seat still isn't all that great for full size adults. Otherwise every time I see one especially the pro 4X I'm like damn that thing is nice.

Yeah, the interior dimensions stayed the same as the old Frontier. It's the same frame, just lightly updated.

I’ve enjoyed all of the Nissan’s we have owned. 08’ Nissan Frontier Nismo, 09’ Nissan Xterra, and 12’ Nissan Armada. They have been fairly reliable, practical, and great cars. The Frontier was my favorite but the backseat was small.

For me personally I’ve wanted a Toyota pickup since I was about 12 years old. Originally it was a Tacoma but by the time I was able to afford one we had a family and Tundra it is. I waited 20 years to get a Toyota truck and I’m not giving it up lol!

The Mrs. and I were talking about getting something more fuel efficient since we don’t own anything that gets better than 13 MPG. She asked if I was giving up my truck and it was a swift hell no. I drive 50 miles round trip a day for work and she might drive 50 to 100 miles total in a week. She’s on board for driving the truck so I get to keep it, she actually loves driving it, and now I’m window shopping for something more fuel efficient to drive to work.

I just want to install these already :goingcrazy:

Might do the front end this week, or just wait until I have the rear as well.

I’ve got a kiddo that’s sleeping in this morning! I’m still in bed which never happens on the weekend. I’m a morning person and get up early normally, but it’s nice every once and a while.

Woke up at 8 and thought “fuck, I’m lazy” then realized it was REALLY only 7.
We spend 9 months of the year in Daylight Savings - how about we just pick one and stick with it.

Had to get up early for a customer meeting. Was an hour early due to DST, so finished some other work. I have some appts the coming week, so nice to bank some comp time.

But then the customer no-shows at the meeting. Dunno if DST messed everyone up (they are in the Middle East) but this is stupid. Now everyone is talking about the project but cannot do much without the customer.

We're kicking off a big job down there, and the PM is laughing because he said that this will probably mess up every meeting time for the next week while people try to figure out what meetings are scheduled in PST, PDT, and Arizona time.

Business meetings should all be set to GMT offsets so you actually know what freaking time they mean. I hate it when someone east coast says EST when they’re actually in EDT this time of year. GMT-4 and done.

So for @T-Rex266 to earn a few Tesla Cool Kid points I'm hoping to get a couple things answered when time allows. :D

I looked through the manual online and didn't see anything regarding maintenance on the motors (brushes, bearings) or a battery fan filter (if there is one). From what I saw the only items to maintain are tires & brakes, new brake fluid is recommended every three years. They say the Battery coolant is good for the life of the vehicle.
    Is it really that easy?
I have seen some reports of QC issues, fit & finish complaints mostly. I haven't heard of any motor/battery/electronic problems.
It's a little nerve racking jumping into the EV world, I always thought I'd ease into it with a hybrid first but times are quickly changing.

The only blocker at the federal level is that a state can't decide to keep DST. Any state can decide to keep Standard Time. I get that the logic is that they don't want states in the same time zones permanently on different time. But I don't like federal control over anything, so even though it's logical, I'm still annoyed.
