I hope the company I'm currently contracting for hires me into a permanent salary position but I hope they wait to do it until after this upcoming maintenance window when I'll be working 65 hours a week for 2 months.

 

Because Home is worth more than money.

 

This is the house that they're currently renting to the punk kids. So I assume they have their own house to take care of as well.

 

Sentimental reasons? Could be that the rent is a bonus income they don't want to lose. Also, if they are quite old, they might have some of the old habits of not letting go of anything that might be of value. Could be something they are leaving to heirs. Lots of reasons.

Aero Precision also makes some damn good stuff at a fair price. I've got several of their M4E1 lowers and upppers built out.

Call ahead- availability might be an issue. But their SP15 is a solid setup with many of the Seekins little extra features and leaves room in your budget for a good optic and some spare mags.

 

Hadn't heard of Seekins that I can remember.... looked them up..... those bolt guns are scary priced and I want one.

We have two local independent stations, the university station and the one that used to be the university station but then cut ties with them.

The second station only has 3 hours of programming in a week that I like: two hours of folk and one hour of bluegrass on Sundays.

The university station has some good stuff on late at night when I'm sleeping but during the day they have 2 hours of hard rock and two hours of metal on Fridays and two hours of punk on Saturdays.

Ok, so I was aware of bluegrass but didn't know the name/genre properly. I'm a simple guy and figure there are way too may subgenres of music... bluegrass is twangy nasal country with banjos.

I knew the first one from the movie. Not terrible, but nothing I'd seek out. Of the others (that would play) Nitty Gritty Dirt Band had the best vocals, but still not my cup of tea.

I do appreciate you sharing, though.

 

Was 64 here at 8 this morning, now four hours later it's 42. Going to bottom out in the 20s. I hate it.
