I am trying to blackout the interior of my truck and I have yet to see anyone paint the grey armrest part of the door panel (will have a pic below) this piece is a different material than pieces that people normally paint. Can you paint this material?

And if you can’t can you replace this part with a tan or black one?

This? Paint will not stick to that. You might be able to get an upholstery shop to recover it.

The glove box and knee panel can be painted. The part that you have circled is slightly squishy, so paint is going to crack and fall off. You can buy that door armrest in other colors though.

Thanks for chiming in. I didn't know if he was able to get the "leather" armrest by itself or not. I haven't had a 2nd gen for a couple of years.

They are about $100 each, so you can get them, but it's a pricey proposition!
