I like those, those are +35 so should be flush. I would go with a smaller tire than that but I dont think you'll have a bubble at all with 8.5 wide

what is the bolt pattern we need now?

I ahve KMC now and they have been great wheels.

Does anyone know what the total stock weight of the platinum truck wheel and tire set is with the 20"?

I jumped around between 295/70, 285/75 and 275/70 - looking to fill the wheel well with a 2" level, and thought the 275/70 would look just a tad small. Then again...the 295's may look big in person to me. Time will tell.

Bolt pattern and bore are the exact specs of those KMC's -
    so 6/5.5(139.7); Bore is 106.10

Good to know about your current KMC's.
Have not seen stock weight for the platinum's, I'll keep an eye out.

I think the guys that have 285 look the best, the 295 look like they are stuffed in there, thats totally just my subjective BS.

I know everyone says level, level , level, but FWIW, I tested a platinum with AVS and it was totally level stock.

so depending what you get, you may just want to take a look before you order a bunch of leveling stuff.

Not a bad idea. I will have wheels and tires on prior to leveling so I'll give it a go...

Anything with the AVS should be level stock. The AVS is designed to adjust for towing. The only reason non-AVS trucks have a rake is so the truck sits level under a load and doesn't squat while towing. Definitely no need for a leveling kit with AVS. If you have an AVS and want to go bigger tires...you'll need a 3/1 lift kit.

cool, not looking for huge tires, maybe 33”s ish , that will fit just fine i think

inhave to say I was pretty impressed with the avs during the test drive , dialing in the different rides was pretty sweet

Yeah. You'll have zero issues fitting 33's at stock (with or without AVS). Good to go!

cool just want a touch bigger than stock and also more sidewall, I will also be color matching the flares so that will help offset the tire size look

maybe 285/70/18. Which is 33.7 so about 1” ish bigger than stock. I can’t imagine that would be a problem

Weight vs width, which effects fuel mileage more ?

    Caution: Science nerd incoming...

I think most schools of thought go in this order:
    1. Width - Increases rolling resistance the most by increasing the contact patch with the road thus increases friction. Forces the engine to work harder and hold RPMs longer while accelerating and reduces "coasting" time to maintain the same speed.
    2. Diameter - Increases the vehicle height, thus increases drag (reduces the aerodynamic efficiency of the OE design).
    3. Weight - Definitely has an impact to fuel economy, but not as much as the first two items.
The reasoning why weight is the lowest on the "impact scale" is like this: Think of your stock setup that gets (let's say) 19 mpg on the highway. If you added 100lbs of weight in the bed, do you think your fuel economy would drop 3-4 mpgs? It might drop some but not that much. From a scientific POV, width is the primary contributor to rolling resistance because it causes greater frictional resistance by putting more "surface area" on the road. Go back in time and think of your days as a boy scout making cars for the pine car derby. Skinny tires = faster car.

Also...I think I saw a test on YT once (or maybe it was Mythbusters) where they tested a tire that weighed the same, but was just wider vs a tire of the same size that just weighed more. The wider tire impacted fuel economy more than the heavier tire.

How big do you think you can go before you need to lift an AVS truck? I have AVS Platinum coming next week and I have 295/70R18 with the same wheels that you have ($99 each was too good to pass up).

With an 18mm offset, probably 35x12.50 or bigger. You should be fine at 295/70/18.

    Thanks man!

I should amend my statement to also include 285/75/18 along with 35x12.50. I think 285/75 would be a little too much on the stock setup. That's basically a 35x11.5 tire.

Looks good. I'm considering doing 275/60/20 or 275/65/20 when my limited comes in. I'm eyeballing some 20x9 +20 offset wheels and am planning to stay stock height. I'll be towing ~7500 lbs with our boat and trailer so I'm not wanting to make the truck tow a lot worse.

Have you checked the speedometer via GPS on your phone to see if the larger tires made it match up with real time speed? When I put larger tires on my 2019 the speedo was actually correct instead of reading higher.

Has anyone put the Matte black Method 316? I’m interested on how it would look on the midnight black.

Just got my Method 703 bead grips in today. I ordered them Monday night. They are gloss titanium 17x8.5 +35 for my silver truck. These will be wrapped in 315/70/17 tires. I used the Revere Overland 20% discount, pretty good deal. They are a little concave but in the photo it looks convex somewhat

My eta is 3/20-3/25 and I’m hoping for the same. Im curious how long after it arrives via rail that it takes to be loaded on a truck.
