Have you checked to see if your CV axles are binding at full droop, full lock, full droop and lock?

I am running 1.5 inch wheel spacers as well should I have them remove those? the thing that doesnt make sense to me is its always the drivers side.

The good news is my 4x4 shop is pissed as well and have been very fair with price and labor. i think they are motivated to figure it out. nobody likes a unfixable problem lol

Do you recall what you were doing when the CV axles failed? Were you turning the wheels? Was the wheel spinning and all of a sudden caught traction? Was your wheel in the air and at the same time were you turning the steering wheel (left/right) to find traction?

So I believe we have fixed this issue regarding RC struts with 6” lift. After 9 axles being broken. We have replaced the RC struts with the original struts that came on the truck and put the 6” caps on the and we did not break the axle while in 4x4. Prior to that within 2 tire rotations the axles would snap. My take on this is the RC struts are a tad to long and springs are defiantly way to stiff. When original struts were re installed it lowered the front end almost 2”. My axle angles were 16-18° with RC struts and they are now 8-10°.

I would definitely talk to rc about that. the truck did look lifted more than 6 inches before

Hope that's the fix. Usually, most aftermarket CV axles suck in comparison to OEM axles on the angles it can take; but 10 degrees is pretty mild. I've taken my RCV, OEM, and even cheap aftermarket axles way beyond that. There's gotta be some other underlying issue.

My axle at full droop and I've never snapped them while they're hanging down like this:

Shop owner has talked to RC personnel since this issue showed its ugly face. I mean talking to the same person almost weekly and they acted like they have never heard of this problem. You know damn good and well the have someone reporting back from forums like this one. Last email received this morning was they talked to RD & their engineers but they don’t believe it’s a chronic problem. HELL NO it’s not a chronic problem seems like there’s only about 8-10 that have this exact same problem using their exact front struts. They will never admit it’s an error on their side. Still believe they either sent the wrong struts (maybe a 8” lift) somehow or the springs have the wrong compression strength. The stance of the truck should not have changed from their new struts to stock Toyota struts with caps. But it did by almost 2”. Also do believe there is issues with using aftermarket cv’s but I can’t prove it.

How many inches is the diff dropped down with their bracket? Is the diff dropped the full 6 inches?

for example, on my 03 silverado the popular 6 inch lifts would only drop the diff 4.5 inches. So if you used taller springs you totally screwed your cv’s
