After spending a LOT of time working out of a truck/on the road, I will never give up the cupholder phone mount. I have used every other kind extensively, too. A lot of guys in heavy construction would agree with me. I don't stare at it while driving down the road. (Edit: I must admit...I haven't used a ProClip; I used one that clipped directly to vent...it worked well mechanically, but the phone would get hot in the winter.) (Edit #2: wireless charging is something I might think about)

Also, I know everybody shits on black, but I love it lol...perpetual dirtiness and 400deg interior temps be damned

I guess you guys are hard on stuff, understandable, you work hard.
I can't give up cup holders or air vents for any mounts of any kind personally, I need all those and wish I had more.
And if your going to have your phone out while driving it might as well be in LOS like a HUD to minimize distraction as much as possible imo.

This ProClip system is not like the flimsy ass vent mounts my good man, this pinches your dash using screws, plus doublesided tape.
    It is fairly rugged.
It does not permanently damage the dash I am fairly certain.
The ruggedness of the mount you choose will vary and I don't know how good they are, with my magnetic mount I am gtg because I only do bumpy terrain mostly on the beach on vacation or the occasional gravel/dirt/uneven fire road if in the National Forest which is super rare.

I was giving you a tough time, I'm sure you don't stare at it

As far as the phone getting hot, that is weather and temp depending. (when not stuffed in a vent mount)
Mines often warm due to wireless charging.
I also only use white phone cases as most phones are dark color and that is bad in the sun, especially hanging on your dash driving on vacation lol.
Obviously I don't work in a dirty environment, I operate a desk and a computer for a living unfortunately :anonymous:

I seriously recommend you give it a try, I have been through SOOOO many phone holders over the years, this is the best ever so far :bananadance:
They have options for building your mount so YMMV, but the base itself is rock solid like part of the dash.

And nah, everyone loves black , I just think it's super impractical for a vehicle if you live where it is warm, or warm half the time.
I don't agree black gets dirty easy.
Try white for that, if it even rains it looks like hell lol.
I'm also :stirthepot: for fun :boink:
But you own that shit man
    Do you, respect :fistbump:

Yea that would not pair real well.

It goes good with black and white, and most other colors, but not the brown or red really.
My dad had a brown 2014 1794 when it was new, did not go together well, I told him it looks like poop on poop  :poking:
Now he drives a black on black 19 or 20 Tacoma :notsure:

Man that surprises me...I always thought brown exterior for a 1794 was like red on a Ferrari: it's how they meant for it to be

All good man...I will probably try the ProClip; you've piqued my interest...but I am burnt out on making decisions for the time being - it will have to wait until I have the itch to buy something (probably happen soon lol)

I mean to each their own.

But everyone besides my dad hated it lol.

I mean yea it sparkles in the sun as dad liked to say, but its just shiny rust to many of us.

    Righton.

    I know that feeling.
I want to get skids and LED headlights but my job is iffy and my boss just announced he is bailing next month so things are very unstable for me, time to close the wallet and control myself

I need to get on with finding a new job but I'm so burnt everyday once I get up from this desk I can't bring myself to go back, and the weekends are filled with house reno work and fishing as much as I can.

Give it a shot, I'd be surprised if you thought it was junk like most of the others are.
It really is the best mount I have ever seen or used, no issues with mine 2 years+ and use it every time I drive.
Having google maps in LOS instead of the useless frustrating non live Toyota nav is lifesaving.

I will use their products and wireless charging for all my future needs, if I ever have any lol.

How can you test drive a Carvana purchase for a week without registering the vehicle and paying the sales tax?
Different states I’m sure have different rules but I can’t legally put plates from another of my vehicles for a week to test the vehicle out. Just curious.

I looked at carvana when shopping for my truck.

They were always way overpriced imo.
But you can't deny the convenience, if they do everything right, which I hear they have issues with in some places.

I also require the ability to look over the item in person when spending this kind of money on anything.

Even then I still got taken on the timing chain rattle issue in my truck.
It's gonna cost me a small fortune to get that fixed because I have no desire or place to do it myself (even though I am fully equipped and capable otherwise)
I had dreams of adding the SC, but not until the timing chain is fixed up.

Right now I am letting it ride because I have not heard of anyone having it fail, yet
But mine is getting louder and it is embarrassing as all hell.
Sounds like major rod knock but it's not lol.

    Someday I'll get it done....
Only $16.5k left before I own it lol.

In Virginia, they come with temporary paper plates good for 30 days and after the week long test drive they give you permanent plates. I don't know what wizardry goes on behind the scenes but I would imagine that they pay some sort of fees to the state and then just eat the cost if you return the vehicle, which they assume you won't do.

I feel ya. That is the best seat color, but would look like shit with my truck. Kinda like a white Model 3 with white seats? I mean WTF?
