I definitely need to update this build thread, but here’s how she sits now:

That looks like a lot of electrical mgmt! What all is going on there?

It’s the Redarc vehicle mgmt system with a Redvision. We are working on a plan to begin long term vehicle travel so it allows us to manage the lithium battery, water levels, and solar from the bed and an app.

I just got the base RedArc mgr for mine. Havent installed it yet. What size lithium battery did you go with and what all do you plan to run on it? I got a deal on a 50ah, wish i would have bought 2. I am just running a fridge and maybe a fan through the night.

    150ah battery.
It has the ability to run the fridge, interior and exterior Alucabin lighting and charging of usb devices, inverter, heater fan and a regular fan.

The goal is to shake out the kinks this summer and travel long term next summer.

The heater fan has me thinking of supplementing the 50ah with a 100ah if it would run it through the night. Eager to hear real world results.

We have the Dickinson propane heater so the fan is probably minimal draw. But until I road test it and start to look at the data is is hard to say.

Look forward to it. I guess I already got as few spy pics since my buddy went down to look at the Alu Cab during install.

Nice. The base plate for the cabinetry is being cut and installed this week. Unfortunately I won’t have the cabinets in for my first trip, but shortly there after!

You're build is coming along nicely. Those alu cabins look awesome. If you are ever down in the Ruidoso area in NM I would love to check it out.

Was going to ask you about the 37’s but I see your earlier reply. So that pretty much confirmed my direction is probably good with 35’s on 17’s.

Some research and communication with others were saying 35 x 12.5 x 17 for purposes built tundra all the way.

But I was wondering why exactly since tacos run 35’s why not 37’s on tundra since it’s a bigger truck! I don’t know anything though. LOL

nice looking rig. Hopefully mine will turn out as sweet!

First night in the new setup. Everything worked great! As always a few minor tweaks, but besides that couldn’t be happier!

Haha I am so bad at taking pictures of the rig. Family and scenery got it, truck pics… not so much.
The Dickinson was perfect. Woke up inside to mid 50’s with low 30’s and upper 20’s outside.

Love it! I am selling my camper shell & RTT to get the same Alucab setup.

What are you using for wifi / internet in your truck while on the road? I see a Weboost but are you running a hotspot or anything else?

I will be running a Verizon hotspot eventually. Nothing right now until I go on the road longer term though.

Good to hear; that is the same route I was planning with all my research; with a MIMO antenna on the window for better reception to the Verizon hotspot.

What'd you figure out on the Scheel Mann seats? I just spoke to Toby at Scheel Mann and he more or less said not a lot of installers will work on Toyota trucks due to the way Toyota has done their airbags and occupancy sensor. I'm personally not that worried about life without side airbags. The Tundra is my first vehicle that's had them. But I'm not interested in trying to hack the toyota airbag system.

I never ended up going that route. Actually the truck will be on BaT in a few weeks!
