Or just yank that back seat and see how much room you have then?
    Does the seat fold flat?
I get around 20-22mpg in the Toaster in mostly stop and go city traffic which is not great unless compared to the Tundra!

93 octane is already over $5 a gallon here in Michigan. I drive my 2017 Jeep Cherokee instead, 95% of the time. At 12.7 mpg the Tundra is a bit cost prohibitive. I have to take it across the state next weekend I will need to fill up 2 times. That will be a $270 plus day just for fuel.

Not gonna make any difference to me. But someone on fixed income could really feel the strain. I don’t like it but what can ya do. No one enjoys buying fuel. I have a local station with a chip card and key pad. I don’t even look at the total. Just bills out monthly and paid automatically. I have a new highlander hybrid too, but truth me told I really don’t like it as much.

This morning gas was 3.59/gal but a storm front was eminent so I decided to wait until after work. The price had jumped to 3.99.

Seen $3.95 this morning for Reg. here in North Texas. I paid $3.16 last week.

Kicking my self (only if I could have seen 4-5 years into the future) when I sold my 1991 Honda CRX Si that got 40 mpg and took 8 gallons to fill up. $32 would be much easier to swallow then $76 for a half tank or $152 full tank.

I will keep paying it until I run out of money, then I will start selling things….. to be able to keep paying. OH, and keep the foot out of the pedal. I am getting 15-17mpg doing that. Most vehicles I could buy for cash, would get about the same mpg, so no reason to sell or buy a commuter. I am sure anything that gets 30+ mpg would or WILL cost a BIG price soon.

But, I will think about the “What If” it hits……. So I have an idea of how much it will start costing.

Current events and current... choices... mean that fossil fuels are only going to get more expensive. Be prepared for natural gas and electric bills to go up as well.

I think the high cost of fuel and excuses why it is high is on purpose to force us all to buy electric vehicles. Then when we all have to plug in our electric vehicles after work our electric bills will go up and then the grid will probably over load and fail.

If they made an electric truck that was in the same price range as a tundra with similar capabilities.. I would buy it.

I wish they made a tacoma with the rav4 prime drivetrain. I would buy that in a heart beat. My commute is 10 miles each way and my wife's is about 3. She drives the tundra, I drive our rav4 prime. I charge it with my solar system that produces 60kwh a day, while I only consume about 21kwh a day currently(including charging the rav4 prime), so I am a net energy exporter.

During the summer, that does change, but I still produce more than I consume. I want a PHEV so I can use electric when I need it and gas when I need it.

Oh trust me I know how you feel.. gas every three or four days. I used to do a 70 mile round trip commute in a chevy truck that would get 15mpg MAX on the highway. God that sucked.

My one way commute is 68.2 miles, but it's only 3 days a week. This is a good excuse to drop down to 2 days a week as standard and the rest WFH.
We're also looking at buying a new car for the wife, with the gas price trend we're certainly considering the mpg as one of the factors. I'll probably drive it to work instead of the Tundra, just about anything new car/small suv will get double the mpg.

Threw a couple gallons in the wife’s 4cyl this AM.

note: this is an average to more expensive gas station in the area. Definitely not Costco prices but I’m sure they aren’t far behind..

Not going to change for a while as those making the decisions that are causing the pain don't suffer like the rest of us. Saw $4.59/gal at an Exxon in Lumberton, paid $4.19 last Saturday in Delran, both in NJ. Nursed the Tundra back from DC mostly on side roads to coax 20 mpg for the ride. Getting 33" BFG KO2s installed along with BDS 3" lift today...certainly not going to improve the mileage.

In answer to the OP's question; I'll stick it out with prices as I just bought the Tundra last month. Traded the Scat Pack Charger's need for premium but with better mileage for the Tundra's ability to go on regular but with these insane fuel prices, I'm not seeing any extra cash in my pocket for sure.

All part of the plan to make expensive alternatives more palatable.

When a candy bar cost 50 cents how do you sell 2 dollar granola bars? .... you raise the price of candy bars to 3 bucks.
