Windoor? Is this a southern thing? Is it written in English? I know not what this thing is.

Edit:never mind. I see the reference now. I do and don’t want a topper with or without windoors

Well shit, I guess we may need to make a club out of this then, because I'm definitely in the same boat re: bold/italics sentiment.

If a good cap in the $200-500 range pops up in white within 90 minutes of ATL, I'm scooping it up.

That said, I'm conflicted about whether it's going into storage for a while or if I'd install right away or ... ugh.

I love the utility of it. But I use my truck for other purposes, most noteworthy being mulch and soil mix. Don't want to be removing the lid every 2-4 months.

Sort of how I ended up with the tri-fold TonnoPro. It's doing the job fine. But I can't stop loving the thought of a cap, especially how they look. @FirstGenVol 's truck looks awesome.

As I slowly go through this truck getting rid of all the rusted parts the previous owner had bolted up to a new frame . I did the shocks yesterday and was amazed to see that they had quite a bit of resistance still.
Had to cut into the rears to stop the shaft spinning as the top bolt needed a sawzall adjustment.

It seems you replace one thing and it turns into a 5 hour job replacing something else, i.e. replacing backing plates and rear bearings, seals, then I find the brake lines are rust welded onto slave cylinders, so now all the brake lines on the rear need replacing! So then replacing all the break lines all the bolts attaching the lines to the diff snapped off ( using heat and pb blaster).
It's definitely a war of attrition working on a truck with 'deferred maintenance'

Holy rot! I’m surprised those didn’t pop a leak at a weld

Is that truck a TRD offroad? If so… I’d be willing to pay shipping my for those springs if your not going to use them

I'm 98.375% certain you can just go to a cap place & have them order windoors in to replace your windows & if you're lucky they will buy your old windows.

I had never heard the word either until someone else said it here. They are handy though. Much better than the other style. The best I've seen is a hybrid that both pops out and has a sliding portion.

I tried to do this with my Snugtop since it had a broken window anyways, if it’s a older cap, chances are they never made a windoor for that specific model. When I talked to the local dealer, he said they are relatively new, so unless it’s a brand new year model cap, it will be hard to find the correct one

Yup, I've heard more like $1.50 in taxes now. We just hit 5 bucks yesterday. I'm ready to start going down to Mexico and pay 2 bucks a gal. It's only a 5 mins drive from my job.

I'm lucky to live near the Rez where not all of that applies and gas is generally a little bit cheaper than everywhere else. Tax free liquor that isn't marked up is cool too.

The prices do suck though, we've paid them times before but we'll be hitting records before too long.

Driver’s side fits with front seat jackers and rear air duct delete/mod. I’m going to look more closely at the passenger side.

Yea for the most part. I would only go to a reputable one that most peeps down here and there use. I also service lots of TJ cars at my shop and about 90% never have issues with gas ⛽️ from there. Plus I would definitely use high octane, not trusting the low 87 kind. Lol.

Not long going in during the week. 5-10 mins tops. The way back depends. If you have a Sentry pass (fast pass) then back in tops 15 mins. The real joy is enjoying the 1 dollar amazing tacos down there.

Wife had to go to LA for work on Tuesday, gas near the airport was $5.39/gal when she arrived. When she left today it was $6.59/gal.

    Sounds pretty gougey to me.

The ARB compressor? In cab space is kinda valuable on crackie, but if it's gonna be a road tripper then I'll need a way to fill up a spare.

Course, I could just bring my milwaukee tire inflator with me, and be done... but where's the fun in that if I want to run a train horn too down the line

Yea LA loves to price gouge. Specially downtown and LAX. They capitalize on people with money and don't care who they hurt in the area, aka their workers running the cities.
