When he is out, do you actually feed him, or does he just chew of stuff in the yard.
Our old next door neighbor would get mad if we fed hers prickly pear or watermelon, saying it wasn’t natural; first off how is confining a majestic beast natural in the first place, second, BS, they sure as shit do eat prickly pear in the wild!!
We had another friend who acted the same way about treats and stuff, they have a boring life, hook ‘em up!!!

Crap.. Is that asbestos? I thought it was cement covering an iron furnace or something. Wow.

I mean I’m not a expert, but usually old ass heating equipment and pipes(those ones wrapped in duct tape) are usually asbestos………
It comes in all shapes and sizes I believe; me and this one guy we’re working in this fucked up attic space in a building from the 40s probably, for a few weeks on and off trying to replace this 1 1/2” shaft on a exhaust unit. A few months later randomly in passing, one of the bosses mentioned that building or another one with asbestos, and then he said oh yeah that attic in ABC building is full of that shit!!!! Me and the other guy immediately looked at each other, like he better not know what he’s talking about…….. we were basically rolling in the shit(or something) to get to the unit 20 yards deep in the attic

Yes, we feed him. If you remember from earlier turtle talk, I believe he was a released pet and whoever had him really fucked up. He was addicted to canned cat food (really bad for a tortoise). He would run to it, I had to build a platform so I could feed the cat. We feed him actual tortoise pellets reconstituted with water and supplement with fresh greens. Little shit still goes for the cat food any chance he gets though.

I’m not saying turtles are stupid, but that’s crazy that cat food is so engrained in him. And yes super fucked up that the old owner was giving it cat food!

I was curious about this one, gas prices were still averaging between $3.59 - $3.69 while I was driving the hour out NE of the city to get our new built-in microwave and trim kit. Gas out there is usually at least a dime cheaper than inside the city, but I was pressed for time because I needed to drag the oldest kid out an hour west of the city to stay at a friend's for the weekend (lots of damn driving Friday) and didn't have time to stop and fill up. I knew shit was coming.

I just went to the local Kroger to fill up. $3.69 there also, average price 30-60 mins outside the city was $3.65, so ... guess it just hasn't hit here yet. Or maybe you're getting gouged on right now.

PS. Frigidaire built-in trim kits can suck a fat one and die in a fire. The fact they don't seem to sell a 27" trim kit that you can secure from the front is BS. Our built-in is just under the counter, so it's impossible to sink the top two screws into the trim kit. So damn aggravating. Had to modify the $175 trim kit and industrial velcro it. Sucks.

It’s literally a record for us. Gas was NEVER $4.00/gal or more here and this war is just starting.

Yeah @Azblue has Fred, the retarded cat food eating turtle.

Our night temps in winter will hit mid 30s at the worse, mid 40s usually. In our short version of Spring it stays high 50s or warmer at night and daytime temps from 70-85. Our Winter day temps can hot the same range often but the main difference is night temps staying warmer. The air changes too, the winds of Winter leave us alone and a bit of humidity starts to appear when our Spring hits. It isn't very drastic and its only around for maybe a month before we hit Summer.

Yeah, the idea was less hours, but I'm enjoying the bank roll.

Think this last pay period was a 1 day off type jobber... I'm fine with it. More guys are on their way to nightshift the 14th so I won't have to work so much, but enjoying the cash grab.

Did you get a good deal on the bike or are they trying to soak everyone for lack of inventory? Doesn’t seem like they’re short on bikes there.

It was a touch under retail, but I didn't have to pay any dealership new bike mark-up, destination fees, or other crap. Out the door was $11k. Here's the original ad I saw:

@bmf4069 @Tundra2 you can put your dicks back in your pants now

I'm torn on this one. Certainly those MF are gouging, and that's f'd up, though it happens with every military conflict elsewhere these days. Do I get mad at free market for allowing them to do it, get pissed at lack of any enforcement, or be happy they have the freedom to do that to everyone? :bananadance:

You know damn well when all conflict ceases, it'll take 3 months to roll back the price. I'm OK with them jacking up the price over 3 weeks as long as it comes back down just as quickly later.

When I was a single, I had THE SWEETEST coffee table/dining table. The place I had didn’t really have room for formal dining, and I was a man-boy at the time. A buddy gave me this table that was a good above the shin almost knee level coffee table-perfect level for my fucking cat to wrap her tail around a beer and walk away…….
But………. When it was dinner time, it was spring loaded/assist that came up to perfect munching level from a couch!!!!
I ate many mini chimi to go dishes from the Mexican food place next to the bar that I would skate to, off that sweet ass table!!!!

You've reminded me of the stench following a first rain in the desert - I always found that wet dusty concrete smell of a 1st rain to be... Putrid.
    I'd blanked that out.
