What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

$3.42 to $3.49 regular unleaded around these parts

 

I rarely let my tanks go to empty, usually fill up at half. Usually have to hit a restroom if I'm driving for a few hours and just fill up. Never having an empty tank is always convenient

 

$4.19 around here.

 

And it will be less of a shock at the pump. haha

 

With Russian oil imports being banned across the world, that number will probably increase.

Thats not a political statement. Just pointing out cause and effect.

 

Looks fantastic! I especially love the wrap on the radio. Did you order the matte black pillar trim or wrap it? That's next on my list, I have a carbon fiber overalay but its glossy and doesnt really go with the flat black theme.

FOR SURE, still getting used to the Tundra tank after having my Tacoma for 6 years.

My Harley sportster had a 2.1 gal peanut tank, that was a little annoying after a while. Had to fill it up every week, but 45 MPG and $5-6 to fill up was worth it.

 

Whoa Bruddah Paul. Where did you get that kit from? Link? Are there any other designs/colors available?

Added my 2nd travel cup to the truck.

I have the Trigger system for my lights and have been looking for a place to mount the remote. I've always thought the overhead console would be a great place but they never matched up well. I tried some velcro but it was not a solid solution. So a little bit of playing with a 3D printer, this is what I came up with. I must note that Trigger now has a pedestal mount that some might like but I find this solution better.

I had used a tool to get the right radius fitment.

A little bit of sanding to get the little hairs off.




Everything fit like a glove. There is a thinner side of the part that went on the bottom side of the remote. It allows to just fit the slope of the overhead unit perfectly.


Marked the holes. Tried to miss the mess on the backside of the overhead unit. I covered the old microphone slots that aren't used in the 2.5 model.


Washer and locking nut made it work great.





Over tightened the left side but fixed it after this photo.




Finished product. Looking at pulling it down and tapping into the ignition wiring to have it light up while the car is on.

 

Added black AJT door handles and steering wheel trims

 

Looks good. Wish I had a 3D printer. I need a mount made for a couple more switches.

 

Nice work. I too keep a scent portable on the visors and a knife mounted in that exact spot too.

 

That spot almost calls for a knife to be put there.

 

Do these cramp your leg space? This looks super convenient but my right knee sits right where the the cupholder would sit so I'm worried it would be uncomfortable.
