    So first, I was joking. ;)

    Second...honestly, it depends on the kid. No judgment here - obviously you can do as you please, and it sounds like you have a great kid. If my own got straight A's and B's, etc., sure. Suffice to say he does not. LOL As such, while I'll likely pick up a vehicle for him *to use*, it'll be owned by me and he can have it once he can pay for the maintenance of it (e.g., gas, insurance, etc.) and demonstrate he can handle it. :)

    Those bags are like gold around here. They stopped using plastic bags in NY about 2 years ago. You now have to bring your own bags when shopping and I still forget sometimes. :facepalm:

    Couple of city government around us pass laws so now you get these real thick plastic bags that you are supposed to reuse. So now you can throw away a bag that they could most likely make 20 old bags out of the same amount of material. Other problem is even though none of the closest city or county govs passed the law the wife panicked cause we use of everything including dogshit so she robs the recycling bins at the Walmart where normal people turn in their bags. She's got dozens and dozens of bags full of bags put away,just in case.

    A restaurant I used to frequent probably once a week a few years ago switched to paper straws. I think they lasted two weeks. Paper straws are the biggest waste of paper ever. Get soggy and overall a terrible idea.
