ADI Bed Stiffener

Has anyone used this bed Stiffener before? Just looking at this and want to get some at this price or if you guys have something more preferable to recommend.

 

That price is suspiciously low. Those have to be made in China or at a minimum be using Chinesium.

That's not a commonly available size of steel that I'm aware of. 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, etc. Probably just a misprint from being poorly translated to english

the fact that these are no drill i would doubt the function. There is nothing stopping the bed sides from fanning out besides the bed hook bracket, which isnt enough. These would just bend up and out. To actually function to stop the sides from going out you would need at least one drill point on the bottom of the L and the side.

 

Was there a different bed stiffener that a lot people favor? The ADI seems to have a anchor point where it PMS on bed.

 

They look like a cheap copy of the Total Chaos ones

 

check the cali raised and rago stiffeners, they both have fasteners on the L itself going into the side of the bed. There has to be strength at the corners of that L or its useless. Thats probably why they have the holes in the corners already but are trying to save money by not supplying bolts and to be able to market it as no drill.

 

I don’t see how they can be useful without drilling.. I have a set installed and no regrets. I think mine are from rago. Worth the money

 

I ordered the x-terrain version……they look identical to these and there is drilling. They state that it is made of 9 gauge steel. I will let you know when I install them.

 

I have Total Chaos. All the existing bolts can be put back on plus additional bolts that require drilling. The stiffeners are true square. I measured them and very stiff construction. Not too many holes on the Total Chaos. And I feel more bumps after installation-which to me is an indication that stiffeners are working.

 

I ended up installing mine today - they are the x-terrain brand. They are heavy gauge steel and have anchor points at the bed bolt, both tie down bolts and three other mounting points that you have to drill. I would recommend getting heavier hardware bolts than the ones that come with the bed stiffeners but these are stout and supportive. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn’t want to pay three or four times the amount

 

That’s a conversion from steel made in mm thicknesses. Common for steel to be sized in millimeters in Asia.

 

I’ve seen both the total chaos and personally run the Rago. Buy once cry once. Those don’t look as sturdy to be honest.
