Started with the belt and a tensioner assembly ended up doing the Water pump and timing belt also. Another "While we are here, and have everything off" 178K currently, the last belt service was done in 2013 at 104K. The water pump was starting to leak based on looking at it removed, it has spots the seal was starting to leak. The timing belt looked brand new almost.

Power Steering Flush and Rebuilt/Replace Steering rack is next (No issues just patience, both boots are shot)

Beat me to it. Great minds misread alike, I guess.

Or maybe we share the same disdain for Californistan. I have similar disdain for Texistan and Floridistan.

I can't even drive with that gun on the right because it's not under my control if anyone else is in the vehicle. Someone else, the gun on the driver's side is questionable. That pic was for fun. I lock it in a safe in the truck or on person.

May have to order a transmission skid. Decisions decisions.

But I'll damn sure do it right this time and buy a step bit. Last time drilling into the frame was hell!

This is getting locked down, covered, alarmed, and have a GPS in it. I was thinking of putting just the GPS in it then following it to say.....hi to whoever stole it. Just to say hi. That's it.

I got a spare worm. Need to eventually find a home for it. Unless I can somehow use two rear diffs and have dual LSD’s?

Depends, did it recently start or has it always been that way?

So I started noticing it coming back from Sedona in October. I didn’t push it or do anything to crazy on that trip, other than maybe bottoming out the rear end in the cinders on accident. I rotated tires, still no balance, last weekend I jacked up the rear and went to 65 in my driveway, and it was faint but still there(no load) and I’m almost sure it’s on the coast side as I let off the gas

Hmmm, did the pinion flange possibly hit? If yes, could have compressed the crush sleeve. That means further damage may occur.

This is why I prefer solid pinion spacers.

I’m already planning on gears, and I will do a solid spacer.

Bought one. 1 owner. 1st gen. 2WD. V8. 444,xxx miles on original engine and transmission. Neither have been opened. All service records from original owner were provided and performed by local Toyota dealership. She up to date on service/maintenance (if something with this many miles CAN be up to date) and cleeaaan. This is my first truck and I have thoroughly enjoyed the last few days meticulously detailing her after work and after the kiddo and wife go to sleep. Noice!
