Can confirm the Binize wireless Netflix/TV hack works on the smaller 8 inch screen as well. Installed it on my Tundra last night just for fun and it works. Pretty cool i can watch live TV in the truck.. but please remember to drive responsibly.

Not sure which thread to ask this question. Could someone with a Platinum without the AVS look at their front shocks and let me know if there is any information on the shock. I have a Platinum being built this month and inquired with Wescott for a level kit. They asked me if I can look at the front shocks to locate the manufacturer or any description. I'm thinking these are the same shocks that come on the SR5 without TRD.

Not sure where you are located but would surely like to get ideas as to how much shops will charge to get this installed…so please report if you feel so inclined.

 

I’m paying about $800 to install the lift kit, wheels, and tires.

Well…got my OEM DashCam installed today and I did get live to work…problem is that it only works when connected via WiFi to your phone as you all probably realize…and if your phone is connected to CarPlay then it doesn’t provide a WAP to the DashCam for live access at that very moment.

So it’s either CarPlay or DashCam but not the two simultaneously for live.

Otherwise it records in 2 minute loops until the card is full then overwrites if you have it set up that way.

Its 1080P at either 30 or 60 frames, you can toggle the microphone on and off via a multitude of automatic and manual settings or what mode the camera is set to (everyday on start up, Adventure modes, Parking mode, etc)

will play around more with it and see what I can find out.

Just opened up the blank spaces in the rear of my SR5. Looks like there is existing wiring for the power plug but not the usb chargers. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? I’d like to add oem parts. The last picture is what I’m looking to do.

 

I got something from Amazon 2 weeks ago and it didn’t fit so I returned it. I spoke with someone from sparks and they assured me the one on their website fits but being $40 and not including shipping yet I haven’t gotten it.

I’ve seen videos of people splicing into the wires that’s already there to get power to the USB port. I’d bet that’s how it would have to be done

I believe so. I don’t remember. I don’t plan to get it and install until some time in the future

 

Did you put a voltmeter on that to see if it's getting power?

What are you getting charged for install?

 

Believe you’ll need to buy an inverter to provide the power there, I doubt seriously Toyota would have provided a potential fire starter (the wiring) and left them hanging there.

The 120V side won't work without more then a plug. You need an inverter for that kind of power. The USB plug side will be a lot simpler plug and play. The connector for the USB ports is in there somewhere. Toyota only builds one interior wire harness because its cheaper then making two or three different harnesses. That's why adding accessories easy. The 120V inverter wiring is probably all there, but you'll need the actual inverter. Once the parts fiche is available online, it will be much easier to find the missing pieces.

EDIT: My original post could have been more clear. You pay for the cost of the mats and shipping and I’ll cover the legwork to help you out. I did some online searches but I’m not seeing any parts available for the 2022 Tundra so I’ll call my dealer in the morning to see if they have anything in their parts system.
