I have no idea who that is, but I sympathize. We had to put up with weeks of almost nothing but the Tragically Shit after Gord Downie died. It was bad enough they played that garbage 10 times a day to begin with but non-stop for weeks? Gave up on the radio after that. Spotify for the win.

It was a cleaning contract at a honeywell facility. More trouble than it was ever worth. Technically not fired, just an easy come, easy go type of situation.

 

I could have told you that Honeywell is a MAJOR pain to deal with if you're a contractor.

People who phone you, don't leave a message when you miss their call and then claim they've been trying to get ahold of you.

And people who call you back without listening to the voicemail you left them.

 

Living in the mountains there are two things we have plenty of this time of year: snow and idjit city slickers, and they're a bad combination.

A couple times each week we find ourselves having to try and climb up the side of a snowbank with our mid-sized SUV or my wife's AWD sedan to avoid getting hit by some moron from the city with a 3/4 or one ton pickup, complete with a ten inch lift and oversized tires driving the opposite direction in the middle of the road, obviously too scared to either have their tires on anything but pavement or possibly risk getting snow on their shiny oversized truck.

 

Add in text me too. Leave me the fuck alone.

I often either turn off my phone or put it on do not disturb, especially when I'm on days off. People get real butt hurt when I return a call or text the next day or even a few days later when I have time and feel like it. I didn't realize I was supposed to be at the world's beck and call 24/7.

 

I have no issue with this other than those people who text you then ignore you for three days when you text them right back.
