Did the near impossible. Removed the side mirror covers to paint and did not break any of the 12 tabs.

    If you're manual, you've got a v6 most likely. Do the 4.88's.

    Do it.

Yes my manual is a V6. Thanks for the input, from what ive been reading its seems like 4.88 is the way to go! Now I gotta wait until I wear my current tires out some more, haha

Also, ive been looking at the Cooper Discoverer St maxx tires, and the last time i looked I think they were around $250 a piece for 255/ 85 r16. Now it looks like they are around $320 a tire! Thanks to inflation or what?! Damn!

The manual transmission code. Sorry, i dont know which trans was attached to the 5vz.

gear ratio spread plays a toll in drivability, but for a truck that sees a highway, a shorter overdrive and taller axle gears would spin the engine faster and possibly generate more heat and wear in the transmission. Between 456 and 488 might not be enough difference to make a difference, 4.10 and 4.88 might? Maybe add a 12v pump and a cooler to the pan?

I haven't had them in for a day and I love them. They are not drink holders, they are saddle bags. Put whatever you want in there. Baby trash bag, all your loose change, whatever.

Replaced the belt and tensioner assembly at 178k. I had a crazy squeak at start up.it would last till the battery got up till the 14v on the dash. Turns out I had a bad tensioner. Went with oem parts

I need them. I heard ebay has them. OEM are probably reasonable if the dealer carries them.

I have the eBay ones. Bought them 2 or 3 years ago. They turned a bit purple so not crazy about them. Wonder if there are better ones out there

You can't just buy OEM, sadly. But I will say, new ones came with my cupholder assembly when I went with wood grain.

That said, @CodyP has a point - we should probably figure out which ones are fading. Can you check which seller you bought yours from? There are two main sellers I've seen, and you're not the only one whose went purple.

Before switching to wood grain, I bought my cupholder foams from eptech (eptech2003) who supposedly makes their own, domestically? It was fleaBay item number 323809743677.

I only had them in for 6 months and I wasn't out in the sun a lot, so I won't be a good reference. They're still dark grey. I actually still have my OEM cupholder, was just saving it in case someone on here was, like, "Damn, I need to replace my cupholder with a low-mile one that has replacement foams!"

I'm also curious about these rubber inserts and potentially moving to these. They're the drop-ins you see in the later models and they're notched for our center console, but I'm not sure how it'd look ... I'm fairly certain the cupholder on the '00-'07 Sequoia is same as our 1GT. Search fleaBay for 392089777571

Can you even drive around like that in LA? Thought it was nearly impossible to get a carry permit in that county.

might not need it, factory trans cooler might work fine? I got my talls and shorts confuddled, but theres bound to be a buncha 4runner or taco guys running shorter rear gear and big tires. Pushing as much or more wind. But ive seen 12v aftermarket fuel pumps circulating pan fluid on manual trucks. One that comes to mind was a 5.0 ford with the mazda 5 speed and i think the guy said he was running 4.56s.

One of my friends was telling me it is actually pretty easy right now to get a permit. I think you just need a reason why you want to carry, but if you say you go hiking or something it would be fine. Not really sure how true that is though.
