    Bought my 4.6 Tundra a couple of weeks ago. It's a 2011 with 84,000 miles and runs great. I was wondering, just what is a high mileage Tundra? My previous truck was a 1996 Ram 1500. Tranny replaced at 73,000, and it was slipping again with 154,000 miles. I'm guessing that using synthetic oil prolongs engine life.

    For a Tundra i would say high mileage starts around 150,000 miles. There are some on here that have or know someone with Tundras in the 200k-300k miles. There is a million mile 2007 tundra out there too.

    I saw one on FB (2006) that just hit 400k. Zero issues otter than an CEL for an 02 sensor that needed to be replaced for quite some time.

    I'm guessing an older fella like me owned it. He put an after market back up camera on it. Haven't got to use it hooking up one of the trailers yet but have great expectations. My Wife is a horrible trailer-hookup-helper!:annoyed:

    Interior LED Lights, LED Bed Lights, Center Console Light, Center Console Holster Satellite Radio with hidden wires, roll-up bed cover with factory tie-downs still attached, Cell Phone holder.
    I have just over 252,000 miles on my 2007 Tundra. It does have the 5.7 in it, but IMO if you do your maintenance schedule "religiously" including the transmission...it should last you as long a long time. I still drive mine everyday for work and my work can take me hundreds of miles a day at times.

    FYI: Forgot to mention this earlier, you're going to have issues with your AIP system and since you've got a 2011 you'll be on your own. Good news is you can do the work yourself and not have to pay your local dealership thousands of dollars to fix it. I have replaced both pumps and both valves. You shouldn't have any issues till about 100k miles or so. My first one went out around 108k miles and my other right around 112k miles.

    The design of the air inlet tube (also referred to as the Trumpet) lets water in and corrodes the electric pump as well as the valve. The new design has a cover over the front.

    There was no recall but Toyota did two things.

    1) There was a ECM update to adjust the timing of the valve to prevent some exhaust from going back into the AIP system.

    2) Toyota extended the warranty on 2007 to 2010 models to 10 yrs and 150k miles.

    So us 2011 guys are left high and dry since Toyota didn't start using the new parts until 2012.

    Im not saying anything about where the needle is on the gauge except this. Nice high speed photo work dude. You only had 4 seconds at that speed to catch that Odometer dead nuts on at 300,000.00

    There is a loop highway around the east side of Austin, Tx that I drive on once a week. Speed limit is 85. I can blow through 100 easy without getting on the gas hard on the on ramp with no problem at all when getting on that thing :thumbsup:

    Truck dose not even break a sweat, no problem at all. I love my new Toy.

    A guy from Minneapolis pulled over at my place in his 468,000 mile prius yesterday. His brake fluid reservoir came loose. I let him use some tools and gave him some brake fluid and they were back on the road! Toyotas are awesome. Even their complicated hybrids run forever!
