What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

took the trailer out and camped solo for the weekend. did some mods/tinkering on the trailer for some upcoming trips. truck pulls amazing, I carried fresh water in the tank and it felt more balanced and stable.
this was my view...

 

Spent some time cleaning out glass. Had the rear passenger window smashed. 4 other cars were hit too but I guess I was lucky since they didn't steal anything that I can see. Thinking they happened to try the one door that has the child lock on since it's where my son sits. Sucks for sure but others had purses and wallets stolen. Thieves are the worst.

 

I got the Meso vent rings in the radio bezel finally. All that is left is the decal to cover the glovebox keyhole, and I will be chrome free in the interior.


Got this platinum center section sanded and base coated black. It will get wet sanded and another coat & satin clear next weekend. It came with a super white surround so I’m just waiting on the hood bulge to arrive.


Also got my trusty drawer box installed


I still need to repaint the drawers, but at least it’s in. Probably gonna do a swing case on the drivers side now.

 

Seems very unusual.

Tried a Stant locking gas cap awhile ago, but it kept throwing codes so I went back to the OEM cap. Then the fuel door spring got wimpy and it didn’t want to stay shut. The other day I saw a post with this AMI replacement fuel door and couldn’t resist. Both issues resolved.

Got these Bilstein 8112s in finally. Nobody mentioned grinding down the sway bar but fuck it. They’re in.

 

I’d like to rig up some sort of quick detach mechanism for a box like that to replace my swingcases. (Maybe sliding rails) Swingcases are okay but not enough room and not that easy to get stuff out without unloading the whole thing. I take my cases out regularly to fit our 3 recumbent trikes and need the whole bed including that space.
What brand/model is that?
How many cubic inches of space do you think you have.

 

It actually came with a plate that the box mounted to with a pin. I didn’t use it for one application in a service bed a few years ago, and I don’t know where it ended up. The box basically slid onto a dovetail, and had a captured pin to lock it down.

Let us know how you like those. I went with Icon stage 2 up front and in back I think Icon stage 1 with resivore. Not impressed with the rears. I was thinking of saving some money for a switch out.
