I’m wondering for the non handyman how many hours this job is. It’s every 40k.

I don't know if I got lucky, but I was able to claim an SR5 TRD OR in Lunar a few days ago. I was surprised that it was still available, even a week after staying in contact with the dealership. I live in the DMV area, but the dealership is in RI. The hardest choice for me now is if I want to take the train or have it shipped to my house for about $793.

I'm assuming you had a negative experience with the transport company? I believe the cost vs transport is about a $300 difference (cheaper for travel with accommodations, food, tolls, etc.) but it may be a 2-day event since I would have to leave RI at or around 10pm to avoid the traffic in the major cities like NYC and PHI. My wife wanted to do this little road trip back but that darn waste gate keeps poking my brain.

I'm worried about if the waste gate problem arises while I'm driving back down. If it were to happen at home, it wouldn't be much of an issue. I've had my Taco for about 17 years and I felt it was the time to upgrade. I could always get a Prius and put some OR tires on them.

Haven’t done much except black out front emblem and rim center caps. Four side windows tinted but have to back for the rear window next week. Awaiting my 275/65-20 Pirellis.

Compare the 21 to 22? I have 21 TRD Pro that I’d like to get a 22 TRD Pro but likely would settle on options. How is the JBL vs each other?

Beautiful rig. I have a wind chill pearl Tundra that just showed up at the dealer but can't get it until later next week. Question that you or any other Platinum owner can help with. When looking at mine sitting at dealer the rear seems to sit low. Thinking it may be set to low position for transport? I measured ground to top of tailgate and it measured 53". Curious how this compares to others who already have one. Thanks in advance!

Here’s my Grey Tundra Limited Trim with light grey interior. I purchased through Toyota 441 in Palm Beach Fl. I paid MSRP.

Americans get a nicer 20” TRD wheel/tire on their OR package. Canadian version just uses the standard 18” wheel.

How do you like the gray interior? Is it really light?

I've been looking at a limited CM in the builder for my area, but as soon as you change it to the 6.5 bed it forces you to the gray interior.

Follow-up questions for owners relative to lighting...

    1. Is there sufficient lighting outside the truck when you unlock it at night? I can't believe the truck doesn't have some sort of puddle lamp anymore.
    2. How is the interior lighting with the pano moonroof at night?

    Thanks!

Can you post pictures of the interior? I have an SR5 with light grey interior reserved and am a little unsure about it.

How did you get a Limited with color matching overfenders? I thought they only came in the dark grey brushed finish on the Limited?

Can someone help this guy out?

OP do you have air suspension? Maybe it's sagging because of that?

    Top rear to ground
And rear fender edge over wheel 39” from pavement
Front fender edge 38” from pavement
Haven’t gotten around to moving the height indicator slot up as some done. Have a medium/heaven tongue weight trail to hook up to so will be interesting to see how it adjusts.
I moved someone’s 30 foot boat on trailer around a storage yard and the rear actually did balance/raise itself. Just got in a nice multi adjust hitch that has self contained scale to measure hitch weight. Again, will be nice to at least get a descent idea of tongue/hitch weight.
***NOTE: this is with drive mode sport. Suspension normal setting.

I'm with you though I haven't been waiting quite as long as you. I've been driving my '07 Tundra since it was new and have been looking for a different drive-train ever since. Mine is a 2WD and needed a 4WD but couldn't afford it at the time. Caught the rumors of the diesels back around 2010 and thought that would be my next truck (w/ 4WD). When that didn't happen, I began to wait for the true refresh. Had I known it was going to take this long, I would have probably just traded for a 4WD Tundra. Now that the refresh is here, I'm going to get exactly what I want. The problem I'm having is, I can't figure out exactly what I want (that's available that is). I'd love a Platinum 4WD but I want the TRD OR package which isn't offered with the Platinum. I'll wait until the '23 MY is out - hopefully I'll have my config nailed down by then. I've waited this long, I'm getting what I want.

Seriously!? Every 40k miles??? What happened to the 100k plug replacement? I'm a DIY guy too and I don't want to find out that you gotta remove major parts to do this - particularly if it has to be done every 40k miles.
