Just got a new 2015 Toyota tundra SR5 crewmax. Had a 2000 Tacoma that I bought brand new and loved it. Needed something new for the growing family. Toyota truck was the only way to go. My family is an outdoor adventurous group that loves camping, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, motocross and mountain biking. Needed a truck that could do it all. Best choice was the tundra. We absolutely love it! Looking to put some aftermarket upgrades in the near future. Stumbled across this forum and got some great insight. Good to see other yota enthusiasts out there.

Yes. Kept it from brand new. Had some minor upgrades, 2.5" lift, rims and tires, stereo and bedliner. Loved that truck. Did everything in it. Sold it to get the tundra. 259000 miles on it and still ran strong. I will miss her...lots of memories.image.jpg

Wife would have totally let me keep it. Great work and commuter truck. Just needed the $$$ for the new "family" rig.

Yeah that's what I mean, she said one or the other. Got a new 2013 Tacoma at that time, then started wanting a 5.7L.... so that one got traded in. Wish I could have all 3. Great trucks. Like losing a pet...

    Welcome from South Carolina.
Your story sounds very close to mine - active, outdoor family that loves camping. I traded my '06 Tacoma (180K miles) for a 2015 SR5 CM. Biggest reason was the towing capacity. We bought a new camper (3850#) and after two trips, the Taco just wasn't quite enough to do the job comfortably.

Welcome from Aurora, CO Lets see some pics of your SR5. Endless upgrades. Nice 2000 Taco. 259K? Lot of camping. Shoot for 300K with the SR5.
