For me its also the sheer factor of engineering, don't get me wrong, I think the new Tundra/Sequoia is great vehicle, but when you think about it, the current (last gen) Sequoia is very advance at launch in 2007, DOHC V8 before most (except Nissan), 10" ring gear with IRS, I'm sure if it hadn't dealt with the 08 financial melt down, we would've seen a proper facelift in 2014 like Tundra did, I've seen quite few very high mileage 2nd gen Sequoias and they hold up exceptionally well, I also think they are one of those cars that has highest average mileage.

 

Checking In LR Club. Some upgrades to my truck! Console safe, charger, tailgate lock, Amazon cup holder inserts, Black TRD shifter knob, and Toyota tailgate decals in LR. Additionally, ordered some smart liner interior mats, bed mat, and AJT Black door handles. Will post once installed. Truck is coming along slowly.

 

Finally Picked up my Lunar Rock Tundra last weekend. It was a long wait for this thing and i couldnt be happier with it

 

Back to my normal bs. Hot springs, campfires, and pretty backyards.

I may be one of the strange ones that find winter peaceful, frozen river/lake/swamp is just so peaceful.



And I have to say, with the magnuson I've been getting pretty good mileage, worst tank was 11mpg due to idling and hard take offs, but the best tank was almost 17mpg

 

Nothing exciting just getting my bearings repacked.

Thanks! I ended up ordering my Tundra the same time we arranged to get the Land Cruiser. When I heard this was it for the 5.7 liter V8 in the Tundra and we knew we wanted to find a heritage edition LC I got pretty lucky that the dealer we ended up working with had a grey LC heritage edition on the way in from Japan. This was in February. GF picked it up in April because it sat in customs in California forever before it made its way to the dealer in Virginia! I ordered the Tundra also in February and they had an allocation, so all I had to do was wait. I picked up the Tundra at the end of May!

Found this on google maps in San Francisco looking for something. Nice looking rock, has method 701s and appears to have some nice UCAs. Maybe 35 KO2s?

 

A few upgrades. Love the black center console and definitely made the truck faster with wheel stem caps.

Was randomly kicking around google searching the heritage rims and cost and those selling with out needing a vin# and debating if I liked them more then the black bbs on the truck now. Well thankfully Facebook data harvesting was on point and the following day the first thing in my fb marketplace was a 40min old listing for a set of LC heritage rims with very low street miles in perfect condition with tires, an hour later sent an offer and picked them up the following day. Even with the tires, they were pretty much half off of new and get to sell the tires, making the rims even cheaper.

They have 285/60/18 tires on them now so I’ll pull those and sell them, and just ordered my 295/70/18 wildpeaks today, should be here 3/5 and will setup appointment for install, can’t wait.
