When you hear the growl, turn on your 4 wheel drive. If the growl stops, then it is your Needle bearing. I have had it for 2 years. Worse in cold weather & never hear it in the summer.
Toyota diagnosed it & said keep running it.

So I have an IronMan4x4 shower tent set up right above the roadshower. I love it and I've had 6 people (not at the same time obviously) use it in one setting. The shower hose ( https://aventuron.com/products/yaki...rikT3Ff7dgoHt3eMt03RKLmH1pcUxSZRoCdB0QAvD_BwE ) is straight garbe EXCEPT for the end pieces. Once you start to bend the hose enough, the aluminum starts to crack/break and water shoots out everywhere.

To fix this I reused the two circles parts and attached them to a braided hose that I picked up at home depot. ( https://www.homedepot.com/p/The-Plu...gaaJ5mn1vq-ZrkvwBhhoCReoQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds )

The roadshower just heats up via the sun but if that's not enough (for winter time camping) I just use a teapot to boil some water, pour the water into the roadshower, use my quick connect compressor to pressurize the system and boom. Hot sower for about 20min. If a lot of people will be taking a shower, the valve on the right side of the picture can be used to shut off the flow. With that control, 6 people or more can take a shower.

With aluminum, I don't have to worry about green algae building up within the water tank AND I can offroad as hard as I want without worrying about the attachments breaking off due to carrying 10 gallons of water.

After fitting Icon RXT leafs a couple weeks ago I gained about 2"+ of down travel so it was time for longer brake lines.

Ended up finding Old Man Emu's relocation kit. Sure I could have cut, drilled, and painted brackets, but for $15 it was worth my time. Installed in the driveway in 5 minutes.

ARB / Old Man Emu FK32 is the kit.

What prompted you to extend the lines?

Did you experience anything negative or did you do it for preventative issues?

Speaking of rear leaf springs. Can you guys give me your thoughts on my current OEM springs. I used to tow quite heavy for work but now the truck is my 100 mile daily with no towing in the near future. I’m not looking to lift it at all. Just want a smooth ride.

    Thanks!

Is it just me or are those leafs more "w" shaped than banana shaped?

What kind of trailer (tongue weight) were you hooking upto this truck?

It’s probably the front differential where the drive shaft connects. That’s where mine is. Noise usually occurs around 30mph. Like I said, I decided to live with mine, 14yr old truck with 200k. There is an aftermarket fix if you research it.

Looks like just leaf spring wear, my stock leafs with a mini-pack looked like that after being installed for 100K, most of that highway with little to no load. Honestly, if the ride is ok to you, just leave it as-is. Going to an aftermarket leaf pack can soften it up, but most will add lift and reduce overall weight capacity by removing the overload leaf.

While installing the leafs I noticed the brake lines and ABS line were taught at any droop over the current point. You can bend the top bracket for the ABS line and get a bunch of slack, but I had to unbolt the brake lines to drop the axle enough to bolt in the new springs. Currently my Fox pigggypack shocks are acting as downtravel limit, not good. At the bottom of their travel there is just enough room on the brake lines, but won't be with the new shocks. Longer ICON RXT shocks have been ordered and I'll take it easy to not fully flex the truck out until then.

I hate that all my postings are "things I'm set to do as soon as it stops snowing and isn't -20 any more" but...

Got my pieces to put together a push-button tailgate opener (not tied to my remote or anything, just a simple button).

Idk why, but doesn’t it seem like OEM batteries last so much longer than aftermarket.

That's why I went with OEM on my 2013, it wasn't bad yet but wanted new, and OEM 27R was only 118.00 at dealer. Wired up the old one in the bed as a hookup for accessory plugs in bed, still works great.

That’s not a bad idea! Mine read 27R which surprised me. I was reading a thread last night that said OEM replacements weren’t available?

Some threads on here talk about how crappy the factory batteries are. Some even replace them while they are still good :notsure:

Put the AJT door handle covers on and realized my door panels are not black they are dark brown. Also the dash looks black next to the door panel. I’m guessing all with an interior this color are that way or is it just mine? I’m now second guessing how the window switch bezel would look black. I may switch the knobs to black on the dash but leave everything else silver. Would definitely be easier on my wallet since I’m not keen on spray painting things myself. My OCD doesn’t like when I paint things myself.

I know! That’s why I don’t feel like introducing another color cause I know the black won’t be a perfect match. At least the exterior isn’t this way. :D

I know they make every one of those parts in black except the switch bezels. So kinda stuck painting or wrapping those
