Might be buying a reservation from a buddy - are there any must have options/accessories on these?

I have been tempted to order the GFC for almost 2 years, I have a leer shell on mine and am really loving the GFC's functionality as a shell and RTT all in one piece. I wonder with Tundra's bed flex/wobble, how bad is it with the GFC mounted on the bed? Will it work like a bed stiffener in a way? I do have a set of bed stiffener from Total Chaos, but the bed is still wobbling in a very visible way.

Oh! Nice find! I missed it. Just kind of blended into the Ram line above it. They need to space those out, IMO.

By wobble/flex do you mean the bounciness of the bed? That is usually only tamed by weight in the bed or sometimes putting in aftermarket shackles or suspension will help.

The bed stiffeners are just to keep the lower corners of the bed from separating/tearing the metal due to normal flex and movement with a load, like a bed rack or something, on it. At least that's how I understand it. I think the rigidity of the GFC would help this, but it won't do anything for normal bounce or flex.

I’ve taken my V2 offroad and haven’t noticed much “wobble” at all. I have bed stiffeners as well.

As far as accessories go, it all depends on your use case. I ordered everything just in case and ended up selling what I didn’t “need”. The only accessories I have now are:

    - Ladder (CVT Mt Hood 10.5’)
    - Tie down rings to hold smaller gear and a bedding catch in the bed space
    - Josh Edgar drip rails
    - Gzila rain fly kit
    - Fitted sheets
    - Levels mounted on the exterior tracks
    - Front and rear windows so I could see in and out while driving and stealth camping
    - Tent doors

I also had a decked system in there but have since removed it. It just took up too much space. I thought about building drawers, but found that using boxes/cases to carry gear was much more efficient and payload friendly.

I thought they were just using the wrong terms was all. I missed the CrewMax listed above. Slightly poor layout/placement choice IMO.

LOVE IT so far. Much better than my RTT setup and easier to take down. Although I really liked my ARE CX HD. But jumped on a change and took the plunge. I figured if I didn’t like it, I’ll sell it. I really dig the inside access. Only a few nights in it to get a feel. I’m still trying to figure out an angled bike mount to lock everything in but my Decked system hinders that. I’d love to get rid of it but it’s so damn convenient. I did not go into adding electrical or lights Yet. But I did get three Black Diamond Remote lights that run forever and are magnetic. I found some nice looking metal plates on Amazon and added light spots all over. So far it’s plenty of light and can run the whole spectrum. Added a pull leash to clip on when setting up so my wife can pull it down without grabbing the sides a a she said it’s too difficult. Need to add a rod holder and possibly solar to go with my Goal Zero here in the future. I added a lot of tie down points and Velcro straps for various crap. Nit a lot of pictures yet…..but here’s a few.
I also just ordered a 1” topper for the cutouts, and I NEED a nice window cover. I made a cheap one from a windshield sun screen but somehow lost it on my current trip.

Yeah I used one of their mounts I had set aside for a wired light. I just
Clip it on before I raise it up.

Yeah the black diamond Moji+ Lantern is the specific name and 29.95
At REI. There are two versions and maybe even more(remoji, moji+R). I got the simple AAA version and skipped the rechargeable USB. Call me old but I’m rapidly tiring of having to charge every damn thing around my house. It has all colors of the scpectrum and even a candle light flicker setting. Pretty cool.

Awesome, just watched the build. LOCO.

Love the slim fender lines though. Been trying to find smaller flares just for the stock panels, but seem to be sold out everywhere. Everyone makes the large pocket fenders or bushwhackers which i think look "whack".

    Thanks.

I found a GFC for sal on CL that sits on a F150 6.5 ft bed (2015-2020)

Curious if anyone knows whether that will fit a 2020 Tundra DC w/ 6.5 ft bed?

Saw reports of the rail mountings being different.

This seems to be the most popular GFC thread. General question, do you not have a tent/camper/shell full of bugs when you use your GFC?
I just always see these in the most picturesque places with every available window/door/screen open, cant imagine sleeping like that.

I rarely have the screens open because of that. Although, I get a lot less than when I'm on the ground. But with all the flaps and screens closed it doesn't make it easy to get picturesque influencer shots.

So the measurements on the 2 trucks are nearly the same. I had both trucks but never got around to trying the swap. When I picked my GfC up in Montana, they sold me the F150 mounting brackets in case I did. The 2020 tundra gfc was made taller and definitely would fit the roof line. Sorry cant be of much more help atm.

Bought the Tundra in 2019 to use as a work truck. It became the family truck in 2022 and we got a GFC as the first mod lol.

    Installed in Dec 22:
