Installed the driver's side grab handle. Another easy job: negative battery cable off, pop the current cover, cut the bottom slot for cable, install the clip retainer, install the handle and assembly then reinstall the battery cable.

I did the same thing with my Tundra! I'm not sure why it didn't come with it as factory stock..rumor was it wouldn't pass a government crash test.

    Alot of them
That's speculation. They used to come stock. Many vehicles have them.

Probably correct as to speculation. Or it may just be Toyota cost cutting measures..Sure does make it easier getting in and out of the cab.

I would find it hard to believe it was a crash test issue given the previous models that had the handle. I would more agree that it was a simple cost cutting measure.

I doesn't tuck into the headliner per say, but is held in place by the rubber seal of the window. To install it, you just roll down your window, pull down on the rubber seal, hold the bracket in place and then push the rubber seal back up. It's a really clever design.

If anyone is curious what is stuck to my back window, it's these sun shades so my rear-facing toddler doesn't get blinded by the sun.

Not up to speed on TPO finish, you mean a paint or a part to replace the chrome hood bulge and the chrome around the grill ?

I did the whole paint process and while it looked good and I did everything the way you should i've noticed that rock chips are
already an issue so questioning re painting (sanding/plastic prep coat / paint / top coat layer protective ) but maybe going with
    bed liner instead or PPF

i recently plasti dipped my hood bulge and grille surround and it turned out good, but time will tell in regards to durability. i was gonna do the same to my bumper ends, and am curious to know if anybody used bedliner paint or the like to cover their bumper ends? if so, how'd it go and how does it look? thanks.

Viofo! I don't really need the third camera but I do like it. It caught my eye when I was browsing cameras and kept coming back to it so I bought it. It could be useful in super specific situations, really any interactions at my driver side window.

I'm considering these same tires. How has the ride changed from the stock 275/65/18?

    Right.
I mean I don’t mind the cold that much, just pulling clips or tabs when they’re brittle… I just don’t want anything to break if I can help it due to colder temps. Waiting a few days isn’t a big deal.
When it’s hot, I’m just sweating all over the place.

For now while it’s cold, I’ll just hang out and play Nintendo and sip my whiskey. Always another day for mods.

One thing that lends credence to the crash test rumor is the fact that it was dropped the model year that new crash tests and regs were implemented.

Which is cheaper: Using the old molds you already have for a part, or getting rid of that part to save some plastic but you have to design and create brand new molds for a new part? Also, the Sequoia kept the handle, so if it was about saving money using less plastic, then why not eliminate it in both? However, the added weight in the rear and different suspension could affect the crash dynamics enough that the SUV could still pass the new tests while the pick up could not.

No one knows for sure, but the "corporation greedy!" exclamations aren't exactly on solid ground for this decision.

Yessir, no I didn’t unfortunately. It’s easy tho, flat black, matte clear. New lettering/symbol logos back over top. I need to redo the ac control bottom portion because I got ancy. Also, I’ve noticed “seek” “track” & “map” are a little off but it doesn’t bother me cuz it doesn’t stick out while driving.

Received two things for my 2021 Tundra today. one expected the other not...
    Seat Jackers
    16457442832857196604236388981560.jpg
    and Power Steering recall...
    16457443703984895589663661265862.jpg

So after reading the notice. It does not apply to me since I have not had a Power steering repair done since August 2021.

I kind of like the cement. Not sure I’d see it if it were black. I like small accent colors.
