Hey folks, new to the forum here and tried to do a little digging on some recommended auto shops around the Portland OR area to slap on some fun mods (particularly suspension), but didn't have a ton of luck. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I know there are some folks on here from this area (we just moved here in January). I would do things myself but I currently have 2 kids under the age of 1 (along with another that's just a bit older) along with a busy schedule at work, so time is not my friend right now :crapstorm:

    Appreciate it again in advance!

First off, welcome and congrats on the kiddos! My boy just turned 2 a few weeks ago and we are also having another in July of this year. Good times!

As far as shops in the Portland area, Trendsetters does some good work at decent prices. I took my truck to Liberty Tires in Gladstone and I do not recommend them even if their prices are on the lower end. Also, ive heard good things about Wanderlust Overland in Oregon City and Mach1 Motorsports out in Hillsboro but both are a bit pricey in terms of labor prices. I highly recommend you join the PNW Tundras group on facebook if you havent already. Great group of Tundra people and theres a few members who also work on our trucks.

    Welcome from Sherwood.

Have used Superior out in Gresham..but heard a rumor they changed owners. Could verify if you wanted.

Haven’t tried Wanderlust yet. But am planning on it later this fall to see if their higher prices are a result of good workmanship…or just being high because #overlandthingsarecool

Welcome! I'm in Beaverton, Wanderlust Overland and Lolo Overland Outfitting: Camp Gear, Rooftop Tents, Vehicle .... Are a couple I've seen. Definitely hard to find decent shops in the area.

Thank you sir! Congrats to you too, it’s definitely a blast! Our son was wildly confused when we brought our first daughter home, now you can’t separate them.

Definitely going to look in all those you mentioned, much appreciated! I actually have seen a couple of tundras up in the Seattle area with those PNW stickers on their trucks, glad I get to finally join y’all.

I really appreciate the welcome and recommendations fellas. Mule seems a touch expensive for their hourly rate, but I’ve heard they do great work taking care of folks.

Going to check out wanderlust also, they’ve got some pretty solid reviews! Seems like there’s a few out here in Newberg, definitely got some homework to do

I checked these guys out give them a shot.

I’m finding the shops in our area are more of bolt on type places. I went to two shops and asked for certain work and they looked at me like I was from another planet.

Granted my build is moving in a slightly different direction then most but it does still require basic shop tools and skills that they didn’t have. I won’t name them out loud but happy to share with you directly.

Yea I was mostly finding the same, I had the folks over at Trendsetters put on all my suspension mods along with shoes and was mostly happy-ish with their install and price. Just not confident in the alignment as I had SPC’s thrown on and have 285/75/18 +18s and still getting some rub at full turn (after they trimmed) as well as some inconsistent wobble after 3rd.. also about to put on my coachbuilder steering kit so I’ll need it done again anyways.

Always happy to hear about places to stay away from though so feel free to shoot them over my way in pm if you don’t mind
