Is your truck 202 or 218 black? Mine's 218 with the blue metal flake. I don't know if it would look like yours but you've made me realize that it can certainly look a lot better than it does.

Thanks Scott. I'm thinking about having it done. My ego would suffer a bit if I didn't do it myself, my truck might suffer a bit if I do....lol I would like to learn how. Heck, I used to paint cars, 1 candy and several pearls. You'd think I'd already know how to buff and polish. I've even got the porter cable buffer, just not the proper pads. I guess I'll call up someone, get the proper pads for my buffer and give it a whirl.... pun intended. Thanks for the incentive.

Just added Raptor 4" Oval Nerf bars to my Tundra. The installation of the bars was very easy as the directions were spot on. Had my youngest son help me. He did most of the work while I supervised. Took us about an hour using a pancake compressor and air ratchet. I would guess using hand tools would take additional 30 minutes.

Today I took the time to personally do my bed liner. Let me tell you guys that have never physically done this job. There is a lot of work, specially sanding, involve in this process. I am very, very happy with the outcome but I guarantee I will not personally be doing it again. It was initially 5 hours of straight hand sanding to then do the rest of the work.

I was not doing it for protection I was simply doing it for coverage. I already ordered an ARE truck cap for my truck and wanted to get the liner do prior to getting it installed. I also have a new bed mat that going in the bed as well. All to accommodate my two Sheppards. Once the cap is installed they will be back on road trips with me.

I am exhausted at this point. Tomorrow after letting the paint dry overnight I'll put the cover, bed top rails, cargo rails and hooks back on. 5bb10efc722f9f391ccfcecd12b281f5_9966a90be978c57610be7f0e1f062b725a667a74.jpg0d8ee07a881678cd5a4b82f6047388bb_01312faba1724e881ecb037687d6594e32f853e7.jpg60984abac85053d0f85a9ac15cf677d8_5255a9bb381dac5376992cf34ac8d8c4d4c0c234.jpg

Ok guys here is the finished product. I'm very pleased...

Finished it today and now just have to wait about 6 more days to place the rubber mat in the bed. (Just to be safe)aaff8d571c9ada1bc60b9ac68552eb7d_af35fc078cebe2f566b3283659d78044b0d1dab7.jpg

FYI they make a big nylon brush that attaches to a buffer cuts the sanding time down to almost nada looks great though

Just gave her a bath.

Gonna put in some redline water wetter next. Any easy ways to remove enough coolant to add the whole bottle?

It's just an additive that I've used in previous vehicles with decent results. It's hot as hell here so I figured I'd give her a drink.

I ended up using a clean turkey baster to remove enough coolant for the bottle to replace.

Nothing like doing it yourself and saving money is a plus. Looks good, the mat will add it that extra layer of protection and comfort

Been on vacation and haven't driven the truck in over a week, which is a record I think. I hope it starts, haha.. Duh, for sure it will start. It's a Toyota!
Although I will look goofy driving to work tomorrow without a headlight. It doesn't come in until late today and I have a Metallica concert tonight!
