I was being facetious and hoping just to get a laugh - and for future reference that's the default for me.

I wouldn't do anything to a rental I wouldn't do to my own truck; but I also wouldn't worry if the tailgate got stolen. It's a minute of paperwork, but in the end you (or in your case Toyota) are paying for it to be someone else's problem. Sleep well about it.

I have some Forrest Pansy Redbuds at the end of my drive.
I’ll post some pics when they bloom.
They are really nice as well.
They just don’t bloom until late April.

Does look a lot like the redbuds around here. I hate that they only seem to bloom for a week or two. I replaced an orange tree that was a victim of last years Snovid with a flowering cherry tree. I’m really hoping it puts out a few blooms this year. How long do they bloom for?

Hey @gosolo , I was thinking last night that caltrops would be a fun forging project. Like, 100 of them. Because reasons.

 

They’ll keep that bloom for a month or so.
Yeah, redbuds would struggle in your area.
If wanting a redbud, look at the Forest Pansy. don’t let the name fool you, it’s much heartier.
Plus, once it loooooooosssssesss it’s flowers the leaves go from a burgundy to a deep green to a light green to a faint red, through the season.

But, when they lose their leaves, technically, they do get loose.
So, there’s that.

It’s an unpaid apprenticeship and you have to do all the yard work.
Maybe, the perfect step to becoming legal.

 

Most of the apprentices I tried to use for the last 20 years I was working had 1 of 3 problems
1) within 5 days they thought they should be in charge
2) they really didn’t want to learn a trade, just needed a paycheck for a few months till their student loan came through, or
3) they would rarely show up, rarely on time, always needing to leave early, didn’t own any tools or tried to steal somebody else’s.

 

Yuck.

On a positive note; Thinking of @Outbound … those damn trash pandas stay busy and are pretty resourceful.

1) I need to be in charge by day 3.
2) I already know everything, I'm gonna need my next month's pay in advance.
3) Start time is a suggestion, I do need to leave early to meet my buddies at the bar. I have tools, ignore the fact they have your name on them.
