Is the full circumference of the steering wheel heated? Because Toyota and Lexus has historically only ever heated the 9 and 3 area.

Seems to be all over the map according to folks and some have hot wheels and others have warm wheels

hard to say without feeling someone else’s wheel but what I have heard as well is some wheels only heat at all in 10 and 2. Mine certainly is all around the outside but I wonder if some wheels just aren’t working or they put two different wheels in depending on package or something. I have a feeling there will be a handful of TSB’s in coming months.

Mine has to be defective. It doesn't come close to the heated steering wheels on my 2018 Ford Expedition.

Toyota and Lexus only heat at 10 and 2. I’ve owned several and it’s pet peeve.

Hope you’re right. I’ve owned 10 Toyota or Lexus over the years and haven’t had one heat all the way. Huge frustration with our current LX570. I take delivery of my platinum in a couple weeks. It would be a pleasant surprise.

Same here. My 2022 Tundra TRD sport is heated the entire circumference.

My 2022 steering wheel never gets hot like the ones I’ve felt in Ford, GM, or Chrysler vehicles I’ve driven. They get real hot. The toyota feels just warm. Not hot. But the heated seats get really hot, I have to turn it down.

Mine (22 SR5 OR) is heated the entire circumference but what I have found is that some areas are definitely hotter than others…10 and 2 for example.

Im just happy to have it heated though so not really complaining…I have borderline Reynauds (hands and feet get cold really fast) and it’s my first heated steering wheel and I don’t plan on ever going back.

Mine is 360. Some areas gotter than others and the heat tends to move around. Like the top might get a bit warmer than the sides at one point and then 10 minutes later the sides might be a bit warmer than the top. It works well enough, though, but it's not as hot as other vehicles I've had.

My wife's 2022 Highlander heats at 9 and 3 and it is the about the same temperature as the Tundra.

Good to know. Guess Ford raised my expectations when it comes to heated steering wheels. The seats do get nice and hot. Might be worth me at least getting it checked out since this gets luke warm at best.

I think it’s perfect. It’s warm but not uncomfortable. I also can’t use the heated seats above the first setting or they are to hot for me. Personal preference I think.

So mine does get hot all the way around outside and gets too hot. 24 limited. What i don't like is no levels of heat setting. The other huge issue is that no heat on the inner part where the stitching is. When I grip the wheel my palm is hot but my fingers are cold. Kinda like a hot hamburger but cold in the middle. Does anyone else have this issue? Maybe it's the trip level for the truck...

With 113k miles on my gen3, I have never once used the steering wheel heat function & I live near crater lake at 4500 feet in 4th season snow country....maybe I should try it out one day, huh?

Once I turned mine on for the first time, it was all over for me. Can't live without it now, don't know how I lived without it before.

I've never used my heated steering wheel either. It's perhaps the most meaningless feature on the truck to me.

Now, those heated seats, on the other hand....

Very weird to me. My 2006 Ford Fusion had a heated steering wheel and now its an almost-dealbreaker car feature for me. Here in MN I pretty much leave it on year round, same with the heated seats. They dont get so hot that I sweat, and the AC keeps my body comfortable while my bad back gets a little heat.

    ^^THIS^^, except the year-round part.
My previous DD had heated seats and steering wheel, and once you have them in the winter, you'll never want to be without them.

I've noticed warmer spots (maybe 10 and 2?) but the entire wheel gets warm on mine.
To me the wheel is just barely warm enough in the dead of winter. A "high" setting would be appreciated.

Pretty much 360'. There are some spots that don't get heat near the TRD logo.

My wife’s 2023 RAV4 only heats at 9 and 3. My Tundra Platinum is 360.

My pet peave, I don’t need a heated steering wheel in the winter, I have gloves for that. Give me a cooled steering wheel in July, glove won’t help that.

I’ve got Raynauds syndrome (extremities lose blood to warm my core so fingers/toes get cold quicker than the average human) so the heated steering is a bigger must for me than the seats.

Checked my '24 Plat on the way in to work, and it feels 360, but some spots are warmer than others. Feels like there are 3-5 heating spots on the wheel and those slowly spread to the whole wheel. Spots (on a clock) I felt hotter than others were 10, 2, 4:30, 6, 7:30.

I would concur. This is my first vehicle with heated steering wheel and all future vehicles will have it as well. So nice to not have to wear gloves when it's cold out.
