I just picked up a 2020 Tundra and it has King 3.0’s. I searched but only found an old thread about them and I’m curious what to expect from them. Everything I read makes me think they are overkill. It’s my semi daily and weekend family truck. We camp a few times a year so I know the suspension will get some use but not sure if it’s what we need/want. How many of you are running them and what are some pros and cons? Not sure why you'd remove them, granted they are massive overkill just like most aftermarket shocks.

You could easily sell those for good money and pick up something more light duty if you're just using it for basic camping trails/fire roads. But then you'd also need to either spend the time installing or or paying for disassembly and install and another alignment. Might not be worth it. Those are sweet shocks, i'd just keep em.

Wait until they need a rebuild. 30-60K miles. Since you have to pull them then, that's the time to swap if you want to.

I ordered rebuild kits for the front and rear. Whoever installed the fronts didn’t get the reservoir lines at the correct angle and they are rubbing against the coil and the UCA. Might as well freshen everything up while I’m at it. It’s a Platinum with 5000 miles, picked it up for $55K. That’s what it sold for new in 19, so in this market I will take that as a win. Does anyone run King 3.0’s?

Also sounds like the first owner was pretty flighty, good for OP. Puts Kings, wheels, tires on a less than 5K mi truck and goes, naw, time to sell.
    I'm guessing it was a typo - 50K Mi.

Feel like I did! Traded in a Sierra with 90K and a slipping tranny and got $28K for it.

Wow. That is a proper setup. There are a few on here running King/Camburg setups that are very happy with them. You got one hell of a deal on that truck for the times with that much $$ in suspension.

Most of us can't afford them. But, do you like them or are they driving you crazy? Resale is a shifty business and the previously stated cost of switching those for something else sucks. There is no problem here.

Not driving me crazy but know they are more then I will ever use. I have driven Tundras with fox shocks and know how well they perform. I know this king setup is overkill. Just looking for insight.
