I was thinking that I might convince @Tundra2 to convoy with me. If one of us has trouble we could help the other. Someone has to represent the South. I'm just not sure about 30 hours of driving. I would spend more time driving than getting to enjoy Sedona.

Fuck, send me an address, date and time. I can crunch some numbers. May use my floating holiday, and one personal day.

I'm due for a road trip. If it works out right, I might be able to take a whole week off for two days time

https://www.tundrastosedona.com/ Event is set for April 26th-May 1st.

If I went, I'd probably leave Knoxville April 24th. Google Maps has us both taking nearly the same route. We could meet in Memphis.

For the record, a lot of shit has to fall I'm place for me to be able to attend. Currently working on getting an April-May work schedule printed (out of my control, but have set things in motion. Waiting game) so I can see how many days I'd need to use for this trip.

Depending on what Bruce finds, gives an ETA on repair, and return date to my possession...

Gotta do lower ball joints, and upper control arms on crackie. Need to get them coils swapped over to my 5100s on crackie. May remove the coilovers and let Bruce tackle that too.

Hmm... lots to think about and order. Lots of pieces of the puzzle. May just have to hold off until next year.

@FirstGenVol and I could meet in Memphis, and one of us rent a trailer or car dolly to tow one truck or the other. My being on nights would let me drive through the night, and his being on days would let him drive through the day. Doable that way in less than 2 day trip.

    Hey Best Genners!!

We’re working on updates to the website. Had a snafu on our planning committee.

Yes, we’re locked in for April 26-May 1 this year. That’s Tuesday through Sunday. Join for as many or as few days as you can.

Registration will open early March. We’re not doing trail signups as part of registration this time, it will be done onsite. There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion and “I forget what I signed up for” last year, and we’re hoping to mitigate that. We’re also going to an all day trails team framework instead of different groups morning and afternoon. That should enable each team to hit more trails per day, and also get to know each other a little better.

    More details soon!

If you’re interested in leading one of the trails teams, let me know - we’re always in need of good people willing to be the point of contact for a group of 8 trucks. You don’t have to know all the trails already - we’re looking into a pre-run event for all the leadership and trail leaders. Timing is TBD based on where everyone is coming from.

If you’re interested, please text me at (480) 455-0091 - dms on this site get missed because I suck at remembering to check them.

Just a heads up that there is a brand new motel getting ready to open in Cottonwood. It is about 15 miles from Sedona but they will probably be much cheaper and have availability.

I live in Clarkdale, AZ, and I work in Cottonwood. Give me a shout if you need some info or recommendations in the area.

If yall left on the 24th, yall could probably make it here that night. Then we could convoy out on the 25th and make it there that night. Then shenanigans for the week.

Take google maps times with a grain of salt. Says here to memphis is over 12 hours, and it can be done under 10 without going more than 5 over and stopping to eat.

I bent my calendar every way I could. No go for me. Next year it's automatic, unless SoCal/NoCal and AZ have too much going on.

Are there 2 T2S's every year? I just realized that the last one was back in October.

No - it used to always be in April - only moved to October in 2021 due to pandemic / scheduling.

I know it was mentioned above but is anyone actually going to convoy west on I-40? Just for FYI , I will be coming in from VA and picking up I-40 in East TN. Love the idea of a convoy.

Great, I’ll keep this noted. Amarillo to Sedona would be the last leg. I’m not pushing it and planning 4 days from the East coast giving plenty of time for stops and rest.

I’m tempted to do my driver side header head flange gasket this weekend, but I’m on call starting Monday, I know I can get it done, and I know I need a oil change in the next month or so, I’d really like to order those hammer hangers……. And just general planning and prep for the event; they have morning stretches that I wasn’t prepared for……
