2018+ LED HEADLIGHTS PLUG N PLAY HARNESS FOR 2014-2021 MODELS [V 2.0]

I want to publicly thank @iHacker for the hours of extensive detective work helping me figure out the reason my new lights wouldn't work. Turned out to be some wiring that had been altered by the previous owner.
I'm grateful for his knowledge, patience, and determination to solve an issue that I don't know I would have found without him.
And if you want a quality harness, he's your guy. Thanks again @iHacker.

2016 Limited MGM. ihacker dimming harness and 2018 smoke or black lights (81110-0c210) from sparks. Didn't really see a smoke option but the black background worked out OK. I think they sent the TRD pro (0c211) by mistake. As others have posted not too bad except for a few places. Feeding through firewall, Grey wire removal and relay attach. Mostly just small spaces and hard to get to with more than one hand. Several times a third hand would have saved the day. However I got r done. Ihacker harness is tops.

 

Purchased a wiring kit and it arrived 3 days later. Installation was easy and instructions were easy to follow. Love the result!

 

@iHacker if I have a 2018 SR5 that already has the bottom strip of led running lights, which harness will I need if I’m wanting to upgrade to the black trd pro headlights?

 

Are those the TRD Pro light? (OC211) ?

Just curious. They look like the ones I just put on my 16. I had ordered the smoke 2018 but they sent the TRD Pro. Gonna talk to Sparks tomorrow about it. (Pics above)

This is the second time I've seen a reference to "smoked" headlights. Are you meaning the Sport headlights that have some chrome on the housing? What are the part numbers you ordered?

 

I made my choice from the pics on page 1. If you go back to page one of this thread at the end of the harness installation you'll see the light options.
2019 TRD Pro, 2018 smoked, 2018 chrome. The smoked are kind of in between black and chrome from what I can tell. The TRD # ends in 211, smoked #210 and chrome #140.

 

Thanks. I guess I never read all of post 1 since I used Roman's Ultimate Part thread for finding my headlight part number.

 

I got my TRD Pro headlights installed this weekend. Ihacker’s wiring was perfect. I bought the plug and play version for my 2016 1794.
The difference in low beam performance is a noticeable improvement over the halogen, but the highbeams are even better!
Out of the box both the Left and right were set just a little higher than my original lights, easily corrected from the cab.
Now what should I do with the original headlights?

There’s a setting on the head unit for lighting, if it’s set to off, yeah.



I have a problem with the interior lights not activating on the door position, but the on position works just fine.
Thinking it was a switch I took it to Toyota and they freaked out over this red wire.
Im not saying it’s the lights or the harness as it worked flawlessly as of a week ago.
I since left the stealership, but still wanted it fixed. Any insight ?

 

Not sure about this but my recommendation is to check the interior lights harness and also check for any loose or damaged wires in the kick panel cover.

 

Yes im gonna go to a local shop tomorrow that actually knows how to use a multimeter.

Also is a good idea to check all your fuses in the hood and under steering wheel could be something you can fix yourself with not too expensive costs

@iHacker I just purchased TRD Pro 811100C211 and 811500C211. I need a plug and play harness to install these in my 2016 SR5. My truck has the halogen lights with the halogen amber bulbs daytime running lights. Let me know which harness will be best/easiest install and fully plug and play if possible. I am ready to purchase.

 

Harnesses look great! Just ordered the TRD pro lights and fogs from your link for my 2014 TRD SR5. Debating if I want the dimming feature or not. Probably a dumb question, but do I need to order any bulbs?

I was going to order a 2022 tundra but reading some of the issues they need to work out I figured I’d upgrade my current truck and wait a bit. It’s been problem free for 8 years

 

I chose the dimming. I like it. (and amber delete)

You do not need to add any bulbs but the turn signal bulb and side marker bulb are not LED. You can update them if you want, but the headlights come with everything.

 

Same. Except mines a 2014. I would like the led drl dimming feature and keep the amber turn signal lights on at all times like a drl. Thanks!!
