Say what you will about the nut bag, but Julianni & his campaign against quality of life crimes - cleaned all that crap up. He made NYC a nice place to visit.

I haven't been down to the 9/11 site since it was still smoldering. I was working an hour away & went down a week after to make it real in my mind. What i was seeing on tv & on the horizon just didn't make sense to my mind. That visit made it damn real. I should go down & see the site now, probably take all of 2 hours to get there. I tried to access the pictures on the old camera, but in a house full of AAA batteries the camera won't turn on w/o AA batteries. Can't imagine how many on this site think 9/11 is just a chapter in a history book.
    Here's some shots of a local memorial from back on 9/8/201920190908_142543 (2).jpg 20190908_142602 (2).jpg 20190908_142626 (2).jpg
Those numbers are the flight numbers that went down that day.

Needs to cut the fender wheel flare and throw on some spacers to add even more negative offset so they’ll stick out at least 4 inches.

I've been driving the boy's 4R while my diff is out and noticed the Auto LSD button. I thought, "How Cute" and I pushed it. It lights up red on the dash, which tells me, "Dude, why did you push that button?"

    Wooooooburn.
soon as i saw that truck on the entrance ramp w/ flashers on I just knew he was gonna race to get in front of you, then brake.
Took him a little to do the brake.
No offense @Jack McCarthy - but typical Masshole.

I was supposed to fly out to Beale AFB out near Sacramento CA early that week of 9/11. I’m thankful I did not.

    OOPS.

All depends on where you are, where you stay. Location, location, location.

I don't judge on things like vehicular altitude. A lot of people are going for this look, I can't hate on that:

    It looks good, too.

I wish I caught it on video earlier coming down on Rt 3 from Nashua, but visibility was only 30 ft out and I drove behind the sanding truck for 1/2 the trip since I was clueless what lane I was in at that particular time. Pretty scary.

Disagree. We've been all over from Midtown to Brooklyn. The whole city is filthy and trash is everywhere.

FGT and 3rd gen DC do feel similarly sized. Turn radius is more limited on the Tundra. Parking in my driveway it’s just about the exact same truck.

It may've changed a lot since we were there last, October 2019. Wife is usually up there for business once a month, I try to make it up to see friends in BK and BX at least every other year, at least pre-c19. We usually stay in SOHO, and if we're not from Central Park southward, then we're over in BK, from Flatbush north because that's where most of our people or work are. I haven't heard much of changes from anyone in those areas specifically, I'll ask around. c19 has taken a toll on a lot of larger cities. ATL is no different. Sometimes it's easy to miss when you've watched it incrementally happen.

In case anyone else is struggling with this pixelation issue, others out on the WWW are dealing with it too, after the most recent Google Chrome update. More info with possible fixes can be found here: https://piunikaweb.com/2022/02/19/g...orted-pixelated-after-latest-update-for-some/

Turning off Hardware Acceleration fixed my issues. I just went to chrome://settings and searched for Hardware Acceleration, turned it off, restarted the browser and no more hinky BS going on. Just in case others on this forum or elsewhere happen to mention it ....

(reinstalling Chrome, rebooting, reinstalling didn't help)

Now we know you didn't smoke too much the other night. Many are probably slow on the update. I don't think I've done it. Seems like they come out every week.

@Casper421 might be able to help with this.

    2005 4R - leveled with 5100s - stock tire size

2005 Tundra DC - leveled with 275/70/17 tires

4R, V8 is super punchy for a new driver. If the 275's will fit, that will tame it a bit.

Dad has new gears and would love bigger tires. Is this a perfect problem? I imagine the 4R would need wheels, but the stockers are likely sellable.

275’s should fit fine with the leveled front. I ran 265/70r17’s with stock suspension. Does the T4r have 17” wheels?

Slap the 275’s on the t4r. Might have to trim a little on the front bumper but shouldn’t be much.

Can confirm. Were that me, I'd also have been going as fast as possible.

To fucking manji the str8, bruh.

That fucked front fitment made possible by super huge scrub radius that allows the wheels to swing back under the arch when the GRIP ROYAL/NRG steering rim is whipped lock to lock.
    Breh.

This has always been my experience. I've been to NYC 4-5 times over the last 20 years. It's consistently a shithole.

Speaking of shitholes, I spent yesterday in downtown LA. On one of the freeways I really wished I had a dashcam to capture a great moment.

In the far left lane there was a tennis ball green M4 cruising along. Traffic was moving at an unusually high pace of 50mph and a red Dodge Challenger showed up jn the lane beside the M4. He started revving his motor and making little tease launches, trying to get the M4 to engage. The M4 didn't bother, he slowed down a bit and so did the Challenger. I thought they were staging for a rolling start and got interested. A space began to grow ahead of them as traffic left them behind.

The challenger went for it, the M4 did not go, and the sound of exhaust was pretty brutal but the acceleration was... not brutal. In fact a Toyota Camry that had grown irritated at their slowing down pulled a sling shot move Nascar style and passed the Dodge while he was at full throttle. It had to be pretty embarrassing for the Dodge.

In general 1GT discussion terms, and after reading @alb1k's build thread, I feel like I need to go a little bigger on the Tundra after I get through the next year or two on the 911.

And after driving more Jeeps, I just can't give up the 2UZ power for a wheezy FCA v6.

I get embarrassed for the driver when they stomp on the throttle and this heavy sound comes out, but the vehicle looks like it's still coasting, lol.

Fun fact: My 911 has 200hp and is loud as hell. I consider it a safety feature like a loud exhaust on a streetbike.
