Try just disconnecting the corner dash speakers. Reflecting off the windshield at a steep angle don’t present the highest quality sound anyway. Cleaner/clearer without them.

Do a quick search. Many members are running them. I'd say in general about 95% really like them. A few people have said they didn't notice much of an improvement. But the concensus seems to be if you feel your thighs aren't really supported by the seat, the seat jacker should definitely improve your comfort.

I see the tri color and I think of the Mickey Thompson Off-Road Series and Ivan Stewart. The absolute greatest racing ever and one of the best drivers ! Of course the best manufacturer !!!

    A bunch
Have you upgraded the Amp yet? The amp is the serious problem in the Tundra - the speakers can handle a little more power, the HU can work decent with a new amp, but the stock amp does nothing but take what the HU is sending out and sends it to the speakers so there's so very little power going to the speakers (and certainly not enough to power a sub).

I installed a pair last week. :yay:

While I haven’t done any significant mods the price to value ratio on this one will be a tough one to beat!!! Really makes a world of difference.

No I haven’t. Thanks for that idea. I want to keep it stock, I just need a little bit more than stock. Nothing crazy. I would love to add subs, but those days are behind me.

Installed a Peragon truck bed cover today. Now that it is on, I need to do some fine tuning to get rid of the gaps for tailgate sealsPeragon 3.jpg Peragon 5.jpg Peragon 1.jpg Peragon 4.jpg Peragon 2.jpg . Rails and cover are not as wide as I expected, and I only have about 1/4" of the rubber seal covering the bed sides.

First day of 30F in a while and I finally installed the pop and lock that was sitting here. Plug and play was a breeze. Hardest part was sliding around under the truck to zip tie the wire getting mouthfuls of sand and salt brine. I hate Canadian overkill road salt.
    Plug and play harness:
    IMG_0667.jpg
    IMG_0669.jpg

There was enough wire and even the replacement brackets to accommodate both back up camera and lock wire. they must have improved the locking mechanism, as it doesn't do the thumb sound when activating as bad as I've seen in install videos.
    IMG_0670.jpg
This is a must mod for anybody who has a cover and carries tools in the bed. Why does Toyota not install this standard on each truck?

Chalk bag mod installed thanks to @EatSleepTacos for sharing the idea to hold 32oz Hydro Flask water bottles. Westcott sliders installed, I went with DOM, TIG welded, with top plates, 0 degrees and black powdercoat. I had SDHQ sliders before, but it was too hard for my wife to get in and out without a flat plate to step on. It wasn't cost effective to add plates to the SDHQ sliders and re powdercoat unfortunately so it made more sense to get different sliders. Removed the retro grille badge and replaced with red TRD badge to match the red tow hooks.

Why are all of our right side tow hooks slightly more bent than the left? Or is it just the eye?

They look the same to me. Appears to just be the angle the picture was taken from.

It was too cold for a hand wash today, so took it through a touchless car wash and cleaned it up better in the relatively warm garage using some waterless cleaners/microfiber rags. Sometimes the lighting is just right for a good picture, even in the garage!

    1) Leveling kit 2) Sound system upgrade 3) Color matched grill 4) Leather seat covers
Finally got around to installing some paintedoemparts.com bumper caps. When I ordered them I didn’t do much research, just heard good things about those guys through this forum.
What I didn’t know was that these were overlay type bumper cap covers, so I had to remove previous chrome and then install the new ones. Couldn’t find a single video on how to go about it an easy way so nearly had to remove entire front bumper and then remove every screw or bolt I thought looked suspicious. Took me four hours but I finally got it done. The toughest part was trying to get from behind bumper to remove some small screws that held the plastic perece of the bumper adhered to the cap. For anyone wanting to do it, my advice is: Be careful with the plastic pieces, go easy and you’ll get there!
Still need to take it for a wash but she’s looking purdy.

Next project are install of Clazzio leather seat covers.

BTW: The grill is also from same vendor.

They are Method 314s. Every now and then I’m tempted to sell them for some SCS wheels, but I can’t help but love these when it’s all cleaned up. I like the RRW lineup too.

i went with 6.5 components for the front doors so it has a separate tweeter. nothing else up front. I have heard very good things about audio frog speakers for the dash if you want something like that
