Got my 35x12.50 full size spare mounted up today. Guide tabs have been fully removed. I am Running OME shackles and as you can see they are pretty close to touching the tire on driver side.

Is this cause for concern when I am flexing off road?

I do have more room on passenger side so I could realign the tire better to make it equilateral on both sides.

Also the tail pipe is now probably 2-3” from the tire? Should this be a concern for heat damage to tire?

    Thanks in advance

I’m not sure about the shackles but I’ve been running my 35 under there with the trd dual exhaust for a few months with no problems, after a longer trip or stop and go traffic I crawled under and felt of the tire a few times and it has never been more than luke warm.

Good to know. I realigned the spare so that the space between the edge of the tire and the shackle bolts are equal on both sides of the tire. Not too worried about the heat now either.
    Thanks
