What are you using for paint correction?

 

Depends on the vehicle. This was a one step so it got Hyperpolish on a blue HDO pad.

 

Of course, I was just curious as to your product selection. Didn't seem like the paint needed any correcting, I was more curious as to what you use when paint correction is needed,

 

Oh it needed it. 2021 with 82 miles on it and was already trashed thanks to the dealership. I tried 5 different combinations of pads/products before settling on blue HDO and Hyperpolish. Only a single stage.

Thank you. Regular details this weekend but on the 19th we have a 2021 GT500 coming in so I plan on giving it another whirl with a video then.

 

GTeq Crystal sirum ultra, 9 year warranty. Got the paint corrected before application, detailer had my truck for 4 days. So happy. No more swirl marks and washing is so much easier.

$1000+ Lol. My detailer gave it to me along with the warranty card at time of purchase. It comes with the Ceramic coating.

 

Not a reflection, but nowhere else to put this. 760 horses cleaned up with some engine bay steam cleaning. The paint is thrashed for being a 2021 with 5k miles (black paint that saw one too many car washes and a shit vinyl wrap job that splotched the clear coat). Will post before afters of this GT500 tomorrow. Prepped her this evening with a wash and decon so we can get straight to polishing tomorrow.

 

Ford paint is an absolute garbage can. One stepped with a 70% correction rate and coated in Undrdog.

Got a quick wash and interior clean up done and topped with hydro2 followed by spiked punch. Also got the meso kit installed

 

My daughter did the wheels she is 8 and doing a damn good job

 

Now this is a clean and good looking pickup. There is something special about a white Tundra with some nice factory upgrades and some gloss. Well done.

 

Thank you. My OCD struggled on this one badly. There was still very apparent scratches leftover here and there, but at the end of the day the customer only wanted a one stage so I wasn't going to give any work away for free just to satisfy my ego lol. Leaps and bounds improved over the condition it started in.

 

What pad/product combo? I've become a big fan of 3D One/Uro-fiber microfiber for one step corrections

 

One/Uro is my typical go to for sure. I test spotted and it left some awful micro marring behind even when backing the machine down for the last two passes and relieving down pressure.

I ended up settling on Blue HDO and Hyper Polish. HP is quickly becoming my favorite for one steps. Very versatile as you can change the way it cuts and finishes significantly with a variation of pad swapping, machine speed, and amount of product used. A little goes a long way and it's in a spray bottle so it cuts down slightly on time between passes. Those small chunks of time add up quickly over the course of an entire vehicle.

This combo cut far better and finished better, which is odd because you'd think if 3D One left micro marring it would have cut more out initially. I had to swap pads frequently though. All in all used about 14 pads on this car. 8 5.5 inch pads and the rest a combo of 3 2 and 1 inch. And it stains pads which is kind of annoying but doesn't affect them...just makes them ugly lol.

Also 2022 Telluride in the shop this weekend for a graphene coating. Pillar before/afters are by far the most satisfying for me.

 

Honestly this Telluride is sweet. 2022 top of the line trim with all the bells and whistles. Coated in Glassparency's Graphene two layer coating and all windows with their 3 year glass coating. Every inch of this thing is covered.

 

FIL just got one it’s actually damn nice.

 

The interior is unreal. Probably a bitch to clean, but alcantara covers the headliner and looks awesome. Third row, moon/sunroof, second row recliners, AWD...I may have found my wife's next vehicle for her lol. I really enjoyed working on it...not to mention it being a 2022 with very little to "correct." I can get used to this compared to some of the other stuff we get lol. This color is spot on awesome, hide defects insanely well in the sunlight and has just the right amount of metallic to not look too gaudy. All around thumbs up from me.

 

Yeah his is a star trooper white on black wheels. It’s damn nice. Tried to talk the wife into one and she looked at me like I’m crazy. We did some car shopping this weekend and she really likes this which is fine by me but I’m hoping she will do white on black
