305/70-R18 on a 4-5" lift?

Will 305 70 r18s look good on a 4 to 5 inch lift, or would 35x12.5r18 be better?

I wanted Cooper STT PROs which are the 305 70 r18, which is almost as large as 35s, but they're 12" wide. My other option was Toyo M/T's. I'm not sure which pick.

The Coopers are $1200, and the Toyo M/T's are $1000 for 5 tires from a guy who only has 600 miles on them, so it's a better price. But I prefer the Coopers.

 

Stt's and 35's on a 4 to 5 inch lift.

Toyos are great. I have some now but the price difference is fairly strong and the cooper's are really great in all conditions but hard packed or icy snow.

 

So 305s would be OK

 

They would. They are a tad smaller than 35s but still fine. On 4-5 lift you're getting close to wanting 37s, which sound enormous until you get your lift on. Most guys are shooting as much tire as they fit under there, but your getting more $$ and harder to find sizes in the tires you like. Have you been to the lift and tire threads yet? Check these out and keep asking questions. Everyone has their own idea of what looks good. Also, check out the build threads on here. There is an array of variations. Yeah I ordered some ucas maxtrac spindles Coilovers with shackles in back to go 4 inch lift or a lil higher just not sure what tire set up to get its my daily to work so don't want to big tires but don't want to small neither

 

MPGs are gonna be affected once you leave stock. Other than that not much difference between 305s and 35s. If it's a daily driver then 37s might be a bit much. I'm still leaning towards 35's with a 4-5 lift.

Damn I would have to do 35s but the 305s are not that off just how should I check if the tires I buy off the street are good? They look legit I believe they just want to upgrade to higher size so I could why they cheap

 

Test the tread. The tires are probably fine. Why is he selling them? Are they currently on wheels? How do you know the guy?

 

TOYO tires are awesome. Just pricier. My TOYO c/Ts were almost $350 each. The MTS are about the same. You can't go wrong with those unless there are serious defects which I HIGHLY doubt

They probably are. I couldn't expect 4 to be bad. If you get a bad one you still have another. If It were me I would probably do it

 

True I think I am Guna do it tmrrw I'm going SD for my exhaust and hopefully start my lift

 

I have icon coilovers also so it could be 4 inches, just trying to figure out how to measure them to make them only an inch for lift
