@camron1039 @Hightide and I'm sure others (please quote and tag if you know someone who might like to hear this).

I've been grinding a bit on whether to add the Roadmaster Active Suspension kit. I won't be towing much, but a nicer ride would be welcome. I just levelled the truck and added Coachbuilder shims to get .5" of rake, which is really all I wanted. I've worried adding the RAS would lift it too much, so I wrote Roadmaster. I wasn't sure if they knew about the forum, so I recommended they take a peek and maybe add themselves as a vendor, and asked about minimizing the lift the RAS will add. Their response:

"Glad you reached out, appreciate the heads up to the tundra forum. We’ll likely reach out to one of the admins to get an idea of what the program looks like.

To answer your questions – If you purchased our Standard Duty kit (4611-TD) and set it at the minimum tension setting, that’s going to raise you somewhere between .5 - .75’’ unloaded. That minimum tension setting would get you what you’re looking for in terms of bed bounce and ride. Wouldn’t say it make the ride softer like a caddy, but smooth the bumps, acceleration, stability etc."

    I hope that helps anyone.

I ordered my HD set yesterday. I have @BOSS4x4s shackles in the highest position. I asked them (Active Suspension) about the potential lift increase. They (Sean) told me that the HDs will probably lift the rear 1-1.5" on average. He said you can adjust the spring to lower if need be. Each truck is different and the lift with vary from truck to truck. I'm going to install the RAS kit per the specs and go from there, perhaps lowering the rear by dropping to the middle setting on the shackles. I had a good amount of rake when I did the shackle install, but with the soft leaf springs on the Tundra, the rake has decreased.

Sean also did mention that the "bed bounce" would be minimized. I have it but no where near as bad as others that I have seen.

Definitely a must if you tow and a improvement otherwise at a relatively reasonable price.Easy install, no maintenance and what they advertise is true.

Door lights have been gone most of the last decade. And none of the Tundras have glove box lights. I learned this the hard way last week when I bought and installed VLEDs for my new-to-me Tundra. I'm returning all the door and glove box lights.

I love simple quality mods. not overdone.
Next mods, new headlights and better fogs, front chrome delete, and I'm done as far as aesthetics haha.

Quick review if the ICONS...I love them. About the same ride quality as OEM so I can't complain.
Got rid of my bed bounce so I'm very happy, less roll when turning too. I would've went with Kings adjustable RR but I do not want to wait 6 months as they are on backorder.

    Good stuff!

Spent 4+ hours in the truck yesterday, all curvy roads.

The RAS rocked and kept a smile on my face the whole drive.

Meso customs trim kit added. There is a trim ring for the chrome around the shift gate. Waiting on install instructions for that. Also hid the Carlink wireless adapter with a 90 USB adapter.1538E843-462F-4596-BE15-008C2B44E924.jpg

Picked up what I thought was a set of TAC oval bars from marketplace. I neglected to check the box (pretty banged up) was more concerned about condition, claimed to be new in box (they were). However when I got home I noticed the end of the box said 07-15 tundra. I have a 19. I figured most steps/bars I’ve seen generally run 07 up. Finally found a marking indicating who the manufacturer was. Turns out they’re by steelcraft automotive and bolted right on. Love when I get a win!

The easiest way I found to do the shift gate bezel, was I took a single razor blade like one from a box cutter, and just worked on pushing it flat against the little black dome parts sticking up from the posts, once you cut those off it comes right off. Then the new one slides right into place and since you don’t cut the post itself just the dome part, the new Meso piece stays in place.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA ! ! !

You just solved a mystery for me. I have these same steps. I've been looking all over for the manufacturer, and every search has been futile. I have a little experiment/project I want to do, and I need some replacement end caps in order to do it. Now I might be able to get some.

    Thanks very much!!

I already shared with another thread, but it really belongs here...
The Falcon levelling kit took the better part of 8 months getting here. While I was waiting I installed Coachbuilder bumper shims so I could keep the spats and avoid having to make other adjustments for rubbing; and I had the TSS wheels I fell in love with powder coated grey. I had Ratchet Brothers in Ft. Worth put the Falcon's on the top setting to accommodate a little sag from the Valhalla's Shield 3/8" steel skid and cat plates, and the semi-hidden winch I'm going to try and convince my wife I need. I had them install Coachbuilder +1 shackles, which resulted in a 1/2" rake. The +50 offset of the wheels plus 285's put the rubber right at even with the edge of the wheel wells.

    Pretty close to perfect.

    Very nice.
Ever think about the center of the T to match the body color?
    Screenshot_20220218-190637_Chrome.jpg

I powder coated my TSS wheels MGM to match and the center T.

    Thank you sir.

It matches closer than it looks in that pic. Not perfect, but close. The flake in the spray and the 'clear' of the clear are both different between the rattle can and powder coating. I used DupliColor MGM to match Prismatic Powder Kingsport Grey. If they'd made the things out of steel instead of plastic I could have just had them pc'd with the wheels...

I started with those on my XP. I was debating powdering them a bronze/gold type color like the Method’s. Seeing yours makes me wonder. Looks great.

Question: I went and installed after Market headlights with DRLs. So if the DRLs are on it dims my head unit. There should be a way to make head unit brighter when DRLs are on. I have tried adjusting with head unit controls and the knob in the gauge cluster. Any ideas?
