The piece your talking about is a completely separate panel. I would think it would just be painted black.. but I can’t confirm.

This guy doesn’t know. He’s just quoting what “the engineer” youtuber said. It’s way more then 10 or 15 trucks. People are driving there trucks with the rear codes. Every dealer seems to have at least one truck with the issue. And most people aren’t on social media. So to see 15+ people with the issue means there’s a lot more that you aren’t hearing about.

On the base SR5 I saw, the truck was blueprint and that piece was black. Seems odd to me that the base SR5 is colour matched on the front and black on the back then the TRD OR is chrome on the front and colour matched on the back.

mine is base SR5 MGM and mine is color matched to the truck. although, quite a few times, I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't black plastic and truly color matched

Maybe it's just another way we're getting screwed in Canada.

The WCP colour was my 3rd choice, but my dealer had my exact model allocated, in that colour. So I put my deposit down. I’m kinda glad, as I see more of it posted, I think I’m gonna be pretty happy when it finally arrives.

WCP was my second choice, but I’m happy with the color takes on a cream-white-silver look depending on how the light is.

I park at work next to a few white trucks and a “pearl” Silverado the wcp is the best looking white of the group. Pain in the ass to keep clean though!!!!

I think there is an XP package down south that looks like a TRD Sport, except it has the regular SR5 grille and i think it has the black rear tailgate lip.

WCP, in the right light, looks kinda like a matte or satin white! Looks good!

I hear all trucks to be sold in Canada will ship with a full chrome Hogan up front.

    Mike Sweerg says so.

Thought today was going to be the day I became a Tundra owner again. Sold my 17 just before the pandemic because of what I was spending on gas every month. Times have changed with no more club soccer for my daughter that was hundreds of miles every weekend and my commute (56 miles round trip) will only be 1 day a week when we go back to the office in 2 weeks. With that in mind I set out to find a 2022 SR5 TRD Off-road and I found one. Price looked good until the dealer wanted to add a $10K market adjustment. With that, taxes, and other dealer add ons it was going to be over $60K OTD. No thanks, gonna wait for the market to adjust back down.

Still have to wait as you cant even test drive one yet around here.

I need to test drive it and see if I like it, see if it fits in garage, then ya worry about the deal after that.

Yep find the right vehicle, then make a deal.

I’m not in the market for a truck load of dog shit just because the person selling it is giving me a “deal”.

Bought a Platinum in Canada for $72,900. Sam truck in the USA is about $60k in IS dollars. The exchange rate is about 32%.
Convert the 60kUs to Canadian dollars and that truck is 80k . So about 7k more in the US. We are not allowed by law to sell over Mary in Canada. So come up North and but your trucks in Canada.

The sport doesn’t have a chrome moustache (body coloured) and neither does the platinum (it has the dark-chrome not the chrome-chrome) up here.

Has anyone heard when the hybrid engine options will show up in the online configurators? Or hybrid allocations getting released?

I remember a few members here had the drop when the regular models went live on the website.

I just picked up my 22 Tundra CrewMax SR5 TRD Premium offroad pkg and Convenience package. So far, so good. It drives great, very comfortable, lotsa power although it is deceptively quiet / smooth about delivering it.
When I was shopping around, I noticed that a lot of Fords and RAMS were loaded up and listed at around $65k,,, and nice looking 1-2 year old used trucks would only save me about $5k , if that. My Tundra stickered at just over $54k and I till need to add running boards and bed step. Buying used was going to save me very little $$.

Yea... sadly, in this market, buying used almost isn't worth it anymore *sad noises*

On the other had: very glad that you like the new Tundra. It gives me confidence that maybe my purchase in the far future is going to be super worth it
