TPMS sensors for 2020....which ones do I need?

I have a 2020 SR5 DC with steel wheels. It is not a Push Start model. I am moving my Fuel Mavericks over from my 2013 after the lift is done. Since the 2020 requires specific model year sensors, does anyone know the correct ones that I need for the Fuels. Supposedly the ones in the steel wheels won't fit. You have 42607-0C101 now on your steel wheels.

2018 - 2020 (and probably 2021)

OEM 42607-0C091 -- Alloy/Aluminum Wheels
OEM 42607-06030 -- Alloy/Aluminum Wheels - Push to Start ... but I doubt any Tundra with Push to Start came with Steel wheels

I have the aftermarket and had my steel wheel sensors cloned. Discount Tire has these, other probably as well, Discount Tire price matched Amazon for me at $27.

 

It is dependent upon if your 2020 has push to start.

I have a 2020 SR5 Double Cab 4x4 with steel wheels and put on aftermarket 20" and have
42607-0C091 and can't get them to work. Discount Tire has tried multiple times, so has my Toyota Dealership, Tire Engineers, and another local Tire Shop. Can anyone tell me what we are doing wrong? I think that part # might be wrong because the techs have to put it in as a 2019 for their scanner to read them?

That is the correct part number. I have a 2020 SR5 as well and it was a royal PITA to get them to read. It is a 2 part process. You have to get them to register for the amber light to go out. Once the light is out, then you have to hit the button for calibration for it to pick up the pressures. The pressures will not pick up if the vehicle is moving.

 

I'd love to get this resolved without having to break down my tires and install a 3rd set of sensors. I'd pay someone $100 if they could get the ones installed to work. Either all the techs are doing something wrong, or it really is a major PITA?

 

Your sensors are the correct ones. The truck reads them without breaking down the tires. It's just a PITA.....mine took a little while.

 

I've put a couple hundred miles on them. We've hit the button 3x and drove for 10+ miles at 50 mph+ multiple times. I figure they would've picked up by now? Light flashes for a min when I first start the truck, then goes to solid. Dash displays "Tire Pressure Recalibrating Please Wait until Complete"

 

Mine took months to figure out. Try this and see what happens....get inside truck and close all doors. Turn ignition on but do not start the truck. Got to the screen where you pressures are supposed to display. Press the button 3 times holding it after the 3rd time...I think the light will flash. Once flashing, let go of the button and see if the pressures come up. Mine took about a minute and a half.

 

I just gave that a try..... nothing. The light stays on.

 

Ok...that tells me that they aren't registered yet. Once they do register, the light will go out,, and then the process that I gave will pick up the pressures. The registration was the battle that I had.
