As an auto trans that would probably be the only RHD one I could drive!

 

Can you drive stick? I'm an autistic millennial; Many millennials don't know how to drive stick, and only 50% of people on the autism spectrum get a driver's license! I've got a license and I can drive stick!

 

Indeed, I can. It is a skill that is becoming more and more rare among the general population. Kudos to you for learning it!

 

Like I always say, it's the best security system into America!

 

It's definitely a deterrent to many. Now just imagine if you had a RHD stick! They'd be all kinds of confused if they tried to steal it.

 

So, crime is exploding in Philadelphia, which is about an hour from where I live; My Tacoma is automatic, and I am getting an alarm installed in my truck because I want my whole culdesac to hear if someone tries to steal my truck. I live in a very nice area, but there have been very organized break-ins not even two miles from me, in more expensive neighborhood!

 

This happened on Valentine's Day; I was making a scrap run, and a guy in an excavator dropped a large metal pipe; This is the result...



My truck has almost 146K miles, but it is mechanically sound; It also just got a brand new frame from Toyota under recall just before Thanksgiving last year!

 

damn that could have been alot worse probably. Glad your ok. They better be paying for that.

 

You bet your ass they are! I dropped a couple of F-bombs upon getting out of the truck; One guy had the balls to ask why I was being so hostile...

Terribly unlucky hit. Were they being reckless/negligent or just a freak accident? Either way you deserve to be pissed.

My truck is a 2010 Tacoma, purchased brand new by my dad in September 2009 when I got my learner's permit. I took my driver's license test in this truck, and my dad signed the title over to me in 2016. This truck means more to me than life itself, and I am very sentimentally attached to it; What really pisses me off is that it just got a new frame, free of charge from Toyota, last November. It has almost 146K miles as of this post, but it runs and drives like you'd expect a well-maintained Toyota vehicle to run and drive; Clean title, ice cold A/C, hot heat, and a very expensive stereo that my neighbor helped me install!

 

That was more of a "that could have severely injured me" response, and the the second "Are you fucking kidding me?!?!" that you hear at the end of the video was my reaction when I saw that the door was smashed in. I also have a high-functioning form of autism called Aspergers Syndrome and have a tendency to overreact to certain things.

 

Funny thing is that I've met owners of other Toyota vehicles at this facility who let me take pictures of their vehicles, most notably an older gentleman with a light blue 1993 Corolla wagon...

 

I've already had it at my trusted body shop (who has fixed my truck before after other accidents that weren't my fault); He says he can likely save the fender!

Its an inanimate object. I would sincerely hope “worth more than life itself “ is hyperbole. It’s fixable.
