Gonna need some beefing up for shift firmness at the least. I'm not sure how much power they can handle, but a tune will be needed for ECU and TCU. I would check with IPT transmissions, they have a good history with our transmissions. It's who I would use.

Yea, the a750 wont easily bolt to a 4.8 ls engine.

4.8? think he’s using the stock motor and trans. Gonna beef up the 2UZ internals and go twin turbskies. Wanting to know if the stock trans can handle the powuh. Probably not we’ll without some more purpose built components. IPT offers those.

A pair of miniturbos, sized to work from 1500-3500 rpm would be nice, at under 6 lbs of boost should be safe. I doubt you’d be able to hurt it without $10k.

but for a rebuild, there are things you can do to chirp 2nd, or 3rd. I think my truck would be happier with a 2200-2500 stall (for hills).

like everything else it hinges on purpose. Towing in OD? Gonna have a bad time. Slicks and coated dragstrip? Gonna have a bad time. Putting down 350lb.ft.? Should be fine.

do you think it would be better to beef up the stock transmission or replace all together, something like a zf eight speed automatic maybe?
