    About fucking time…

No detailed review from me, but here a couple of thoughts 300mi in to a 400mi return trip home.

She drives and rides great! I love the tech and the gas mileage is better than my old 2017 Tundra (16.5mpg with some pretty spirited highway driving).

Inside feels just as big as my old one, but this one is much more comfy. Maybe it’s the pano roof, but this feels spacious in a way my old Tundra didn’t.

I’m not suffering from any of the profile issues, but I am having trouble with my iPhone 13 Pro consistently charging. The 14” screen is great but would be superb if angled slightly toward the driver. Digital rear view mirror was weird for about 10 minutes, but I prefer it now.

And the truck looks 10x better in person than in photos.

Yes, @Mattedfred, I owe you a picture of the door jamb.

Couldn’t say better things about Joseph Airport Toyota in Dayton. They made buying out of state much easier than I expected.

Same issue with 13 pro not charging, after 10-15 seconds it would stop charging. I had it in a otterbox defender case. Switched to a mag safe case (Magnets inside the case) now works perfectly.

I guess the rubber in my old case prevented a good connection

Apparently in Canada, you can configure the Tundra in Lunar Rock without adding the TRD off-road package. Has anyone seen one? Website won’t display this configuration but allows you to build it.

Hey! I went with the E Load Range just due to towing, the tires are less than 1 inch taller so i havent thought much about the small speedo difference. And rides a little stiffer, but im used to these :)

Absolutely B-E-A-UTIFUL! I have one reserved just like this that is supposed to arrive 3/16. Was going to go with a green SR5 4x4 but it didn't have the sport or OR package.

I don't have one, but I have finally seen one in person.

The front grille is no big deal.

Also, what you don't notice in the photos is that there is a subtle sleek sophistication (the one I saw was black) that says "yeah, I can do this", but in a way that isn't at all in your face. It reeks confidence and understatement.

Hendrick Toyota Dealership near me had these 10 Platinums with 6.5 bed. Pearl and Blueprint are badass looking
They were all presold to Mr Hendrick of Nascar.

I thought I read and absorbed most of the important things about the new Gen and just today realized while looking at these that they are 6 lug rims.
All these yrs and 5 lugs was plenty and now they need 6.

Man, I've been trying to decide what color to order through work for the 1794 for weeks. Originally, I wanted Red but I can't get the Saddle Tan interior with that color for some reason. Since I can't do Red, I've been leaning Smoked Mesquite, Wind Chill Pearl but this Army Green looks really nice too. It's a really tough call between the them.

These are great, thanks for sharing! If you’re around there again, would you mind take some side by side photos of the blueprint beside the wind chill platinum from various angles including from the front and the back? I have both colours on order and have really been struggling with which one to go with. These would help immensely!!

I live over an hr each way from the dealership so I doubt they will be there next time I am in the area. I will say this I was on the fence on which two I like the most and have to say the wind chill is loaded with pearl flip flop. It wins my decision hands down with regards to appearance.

I'm curious of that too. I know the LC80 rear shocks for a 4-5" lift will fit the rear of the Tundras with 1-2" lift but I have yet to see any front shock or coilover options.

The R4T guys put a Westcott designs kit on their Tundra and replaced the stock bump stop and spacer with a Duro Bumps bump stop. After looking into it they are the same as the previous trucks. I ended up ordering some Energy Suspension 9.9135R bump stops to go with my front lift, about 1/10th the cost.

The bump stops need to be spaced down when you lift your truck so it doesn't let the shock bottom out in itself. The easiest way to do this is to remove the stock bump stop, add a spacer appropriate for the lift height/type, reinstall. People replace the stock bump stops because they are thin and hard as a rock so when you hit them it is abrupt and solid. An aftermarket bump stop like the Duro Bumps, ES, etc. is a taller and softer rubber so it has some give to it and provides a more subtle bump than an abrupt jarring hit.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBrZhC8sYwQ

Here's the video, about the 9:10 mark he explains the bump stops and shows the difference.

Question: Are the black fender flares and the tailgate lip (??) gloss black on the Platinum?
