Eco minus 2 here, enjoy the mellowness daily... when playin out in the dirt I tend to go eco -4 to help "buffer" throttle inputs when driving fast through the chop or when climbing ish in 2wd or 4hi...

Sounds like your method works well given a one for one replacement and no changes to the ride height. I added 2.5” to my front end so my LED headlight alignment was a little more involved.
One of the best mods I’ve made though and well worth the money.
    Best.

Due to me being worrisome, I ended up replacing the Baxter Performance spec’d filter to a smaller one.

With the RCI skid plate it was just too close for comfort. I plan to wheel this thing this summer and didn’t want any oil filter contact.

After some research on the BITOG forum and a couple others I cross referenced my old style filter to a smaller one.

It’s actually the same filter the 4.7 Tundra/Sequoia uses.

    Ignore the oil mess.

yes I can already tell a difference even just driving in town and the looks improvement is no contest. My front end is lifted 3” and the rear 1.25” so I was already about 1.5” higher than factory before swapping to the LED’s. If I start having people bright me I can always notch them down but they are set to zero now so should have full down adjustment available when we tow our boat.

Installed the wireless charging tray(been wanting to do this one for a while) and a new cabin air filter(old one was filthy but showed no signs of rodent trouble thankfully).

I still haven't tried Eco yet. Took the wife out to dinner tonight so I drove for almost 2 hours total there and back. Honestly not sure I'm going to keep this thing. Seems expensive for what it does. It's kind of a fun gadget but I think my $300 could be better spent elsewhere. Gonna rock it for a bit longer to see if it grows on me.

There are other similar devices for a bit less. Multiple threads on throttle controllers. I have an iDrive and have 0 regrets about it and absolutely love it. But again, its a throttle controller like the PC so if you aren't liking what you have you probably won't like the iDrive.

It's not really that I don't like it. I just feel like it's way overpriced. It's a cool mod but I'm just not really feeling like it's really worth what it costs.

From what I'm seeing on Google, Idrive is more expensive than pedal commander.

I'm with you brother, I felt the same way. I returned it after a week. It was weird plus it made my revs jump randomly. Unpopular opinion but I actually like the slop in the stock pedal. The softer lead in helps me keep the movement smoother and it didn't jump the truck when there were bumps and such.

Weird, I got mine for well under 200. But that was like a year ago. Prices may have changed like most things... I wouldn't have paid 300 for a throttle controller.

Look at those fancy braided hoses! If someone gave me those for free I wouldn’t even swap them, since it was such an unbelievable PITA getting the hoses back off the separator once they were on!

This question is probably highly debated like anything else on this forum, but how much benefit do these really give on an NA engine?

Whatever this forum told me to do
question...if you collect a pint of oil/whatever in your bypass thing....are you now 1 pint low in motor oil? or is it just moisture?

i ask because I don't burn any oil. even after the blower install.

A great question. I guess to answer that, we would have to know where that oil would go if there was no can?

The oil ‘in mist form’ goes into your intake.
This can cause issues with deposits on the valves and runners. More so with direct injection engines. The 5.7 is port injection so fuel tends to clean the runners.
that being said I don’t think the catch can -can hurt anything, I’m sure it helps keep the system cleaner in the end.

Well, i guess if there was no can it would get sent back to the intake manifold/supercharger snout and pushed into the intake valves and ultimately be burned off. I think it’s just an inconsequential amount of oil as far as reading it on a dip stick between changes. I more got one being supercharged so the rotors and heat exchanger don’t get coated in oil, and I read there is more blow by with forced induction. Those oils/vapors also negatively effect the fuel detonation and therefore could cause reduced power and efficiency if it gets a big slug of it on a harder pull…so “they” say anyway lol

It definitely makes sense for a SC truck, i can see the benefit, plus with the added pressure of the system.

I cant really see it hurting anything in any application, assuming the install was done correctly, unless the truck is tuned so specifically that the extra length those hoses add would add some kind of calculation error of the truck.

For my personal use it caught about 1/8 full of water/oil, so for what it’s worth I said it works.

Recently bought a new to me 2017 Tundra Limited. I have always wanted one of these and decided to pull the trigger. Love the truck and decided to start doing some things to make it mine.

I started with the center console organizer since the previous one was looking rough.

Then I added the smaller antenna which actually killed most of my FM signal (good thing I don’t use it).

Then I added the ProClip mount for my iPhone.

Today I got in and installed my wireless charging pad for the center console.

I’ve been going through this forum and trying to figure out what other mods I would like to do. I went and bought some flat black paint and I’m going to black out the emblems and the grill to start to get rid of all this chrome. I’ll keep posting as I move on to track my progress.
