Falken Wildpeak 295/70/18. Haven’t mounted yet.

 

Now this question has probably been asked a million times over but just for my clarification. I have 6112’s at 1.9 up front and 5160 at standard height. Can I fit a
285/75r18 toyo ATIII? Does anyone have pics with this setup?

 

Yes but Will need to morph well liners if you aren’t running a aftermarket bumper. Look into bumper shims from coachbuilder as alternative option

Just got my set matte black.

 

Debating gun metal versus matte black for my black truck. Also debating whether or not it will be worth it to sleep on the couch for the next month…

I will be removing the bolts and painting them black!!

 

Are you just going to have them powder coated? Or, will you paint them yourself, if so, with what? I just got the gunmetal and not a fan of the bolts.

 

I’m going to paint them myself. Just the head bolt and not the threads. Satin black with primer in it. Let me find the product.

 

Thanks! Will you take the bolts out or will you leave them and tape them off? I just spent a bunch of money on these damn things, so don't want them to look janky.

 

How did you black these out? Remove them and powder coat or leave them in and paint the heads? Or, take them out and paint the heads?

 

Talking to another forum member Derek, He has Voodoo Pro. He said the bolts were easy to take out. And just spray the heads and not the threads. I know it a little extra work but I think if you drill a hole threw a piece of card board and place the bolt in and spray it. He said make sure you let them dry good. Hope this helps.

 

I read up on the plastic bolts easily break from EBay.

 

I pulled all the bolts & stuck them in a spare piece of cardboard. Initially I painted them color matched in Cement, but I just redid them black. Happy I did. All you need is a 10mm socket wrapped in painters tape so that you don’t scratch them once painted.

 

This was my plan also. Seem to be the best. Which paint did you use??

 

I threw a pic of it up a handful of posts back. Similar to what you had picked out, Rustoleum Laquer. It was gloss & dried quickly. I’d say definitely go with a high gloss because it’ll blend into the shine of the black around the wheels.

I agree with the gloss black. That black ring is glossy around the wheel.
