Yeah they probably had to total them after all that “off-roading” they did. The only thing I did like was the color on the pro but I don’t think that’s a new color.

 

Yeah, that Pro looked good. That's the new Pro color for '22, Octane orange or something.

 

Solar Octane. I just looked it up sounds like a knock off energy drink. Looks super close to the inferno orange/red on the previous years.

 

So you would have preferred if they matched the Taco and 4 Runner Pro color, Lime Rush?

 

I’ve yet to see one in person but my inner 20 year old wants to say yes but my actual older self is telling me I’d get sick of the color after a while. I really think the most adventurous I would ever go on color is lunar rock.

 

I like the Lime Rush on the Taco and the photoshop of the Tundra, but not as much a fan on the 4Runner. I like the Solar Octane in pics as well, but IDK that I'd go with a really wild color either. I like different colors, but muted like the Cement and Cavalry Blue (my bias is showing), but I've not cared for Lunar Rock in person. Loved the Barcelona Red when I went to get my truck as well, but they only had it in a DC and I wanted that glorious huge rear seat and roll down window.

 

I saw my first ‘22 in the wild last Friday. It does look better in person for sure. The chrome ‘stash didn’t look that bad against the all black paint. Still didn’t get me excited about the truck.

Toyota’s Tundra commercial was horrible. They took the orange Pro and three other trucks (other trim levels we assume) and went blazing down some dirt trails. To me that suggests all the trucks are equally capable offroad and the Pro is just another Chevy decal trim job. Well done Toyota!

 

You mean the new pro maintained the previous norm of not shaming lower trims in any aspect but stock suspension and cosmetics? Gotta give Toyota credit, they are keeping with tradition.

 

Hahaha. I think so. I hit the other thread maybe every six months and checked it out yesterday since I was bored. The random pages I did look at had a bunch of the daily greetings.

To be clear, I’m not trying to start a thread war. It is good people have a place to do that if they want. But if I’m being honest, it drove me nuts when this thread was the daily repository. Made it a chore to follow the random conversations that were occurring between the salutations.

 

Morning all! Back to the grind this week. Feeling better than this guy above me.

 

Should I throw one of these in here too for good measure? Seems like the cool thing to do in that thread.
